Does your Mummy know what you are up to??
Just for the record.  My involvement and history is as follows.
1974 : 57th Recruit Wing NZ Police College age 18
28 years service retiring in 2002 at the age of 46
2000 set up Employment law practice when the current Act came into force still currently active.
Contributor to Race cafe since 2008 (long before you could read apparently since you have absolutely no idea what you are posting about. Try actually reading what I have posted and then try and translate what is being said.)
I know that you and your other mate have a serious problem with authority with your references to "pigs" ( FYI I've been called worse)  but my feelings are "once a cop always a cop"  If you cant handle that then that's your problem and you seriously need to get some help for that.
As for the reference to me being a mate of Leo's the only connection I have to him was I once legged him on to a horse I was leading into the birdcage at the Eater races at Riverton when he was a young apprentice ( not that he would remember me from way back then Late  1960's)
Since you are just a newbie contributor to Race Cafe I suggest that you make sure you dont go making aspersions about others who know a lot more about the subject they are commenting on.
As an aside. The RIU clearly jumped the gun as I said.  Dont you think that they should have waited another 10 minutes for the treatments (tubing) to start and then raided instead of rushing in beforehand and then trying to prove some wrongdoing?????

Well he has handed in his resignation but as i have said earlier "I smell a rat " with the whole business especially the reasons for his departure.

We are all entitled to our views it is just with my legal experience I view the outcome on the facts tabled very differently and I am sure the legal system will prevail.
Stress I am not involved but a qualified bystander addressing the tabled evidence
A most interesting set of facts presented but IMHO one set fails

We agree to disagree and to suggest NM has no integrity is unacceptable but will register the comment as your view.
Given you have announced yourself I will not provide any further input, but I suggest you wind your comments back and follow the case as a hell of a lot more is at stake than integrity

You may not be aware this is a top end issue with other issues pending, for other folk

I'm sorry Mr. Voice of Reason, but I feel your argument doesn't wash. I may not have driven in races myself but at least I know enough to realise that an inexperienced young trotter drawing one is hardly likely to be driven out at the start of a race. Unlike pacers, trotters often take a bit of careful nursing to get them balanced before they can be asked to stretch out. If you knew anything about betting on Harness Racing you would have been aware of that

YOU are watching the video postings of a sadly deluded man and is equally deluded "Web mates" from around the world.
"Clouded water" is a very good analogy for describing all 100 1's postings.

Under the rules of Harness Racing he should have been charged with incompetent driving, fair enough to have a go for 2 or 300 metres but when the first 3 slipped away from the rest of the field he had ample opportunity to pull back and take a cover. He didn't so he should have the book thrown at him

FFS, you are so full of rubbish its hard to know where to start. You obviously have no idea. But to help you out simpleton, You: saw the departure of CEO and CFO,prepare the new Racing bill, deal with WP and the Mesarra report. Develop a business plan , deal with secular /dysfunctional codes, as well as develop in conjunction with board a new business pan to rightsize the TAB operations.

Do you know thats  a fact or is it just more guessing by you. If you are that way inclined lets have a decent wager on it Lets say 2 grand on current CEO salary. Under your post  J Allen was on 700K a 20% reduction leaves McKenzie on $560K . Ill put my money that he is on less than 530K. Do you want to put your money where your mouth is.??

Dont watch it then or use remote

I think a number of you were expecting a bit much......it certainly was much as I expected ,sure there were some pathetic races [ e.g. Japan] on show .
    But it is winter.
Racing was 'Insolvent' or on the brink...it could not pay it's Creditors for the month !
A massive laying off of staff and saving of broadcasting expenses meant they were operating on a bare minimum skeleton operating staff.
They announced there would be limited coverage.
Their new betting platform has been a shocker ,my 4 yrold laptop doesn't gel with it at all in regards to betting. Since early last year it started to get intermittent then divorced itself.
I decided to support Cambridge/Addington on resumption , and decided to bet more than the modest amounts normal on those meetings. So I reverted to 1970's and went to TAB 90 minutes prior and put on all my bets.
Have actually done alright too !
No problem watching both races and Football [NRL] on TV and laptop which still shows actual racing.
Winners comments don't appeal and Ricky's issue has been 'done to death' and received tons of mainstream and social media...'yeah/ nah' , I feel good and keen to get out there !
Facebook has had some great prerace interviews done by Andrew F ,the Armstrong kid , Jo ???? and the taxi driver and the Cox lady......great info.
Maybe this streaming can be extended and become permanent. What they have done I think is FANTASTIC !
These early races were never going to have the recent trackside coverage which was at times 'Rolls Royce'.
The bankrupt business had to get things moving ASAP to get some betting for stakes........when the going gets tough ,the tough get going !
Such uncertainty still , but the barebones operation is at least breathing again ,even if on life support !
Don't expect too much guys.....plus Facebook has been proactive, MG and the Whale talk from their bedrooms, trials on line , more trainers on Facebook than previous, some fields in Herald , all fields on line .
Love the good oil from the taxi !

Come on Lachie...you have completely missed the point and are waffling. The main issue is not the amalgamation of the clubs. Its the ability to stimulate the appeal of the racing industry where profit as a result of revenue exceeds the current status quo. That you cannot succinctly articulate a methodology that can achieve this shows you do not not have the prerequisite experience or knowledge to deploy policy to regenerate the industry's fortunes.
Go away and do your homework in order to reach the tipping point that is required to honestly help the industry. Lip service is not what is required at this point. In depth knowledge and experience is the only thing that can help. The amendments to the racing bill are not yet what is required as they limit everything at a time where the industry is under duress.
The only problem is that although the bill finally agrees that a requirement to appoint board members that have experience in technology, gambling and broadcasting, it is obvious that during the writing of the amendments the select committee haven't consulted with anyone appropriate in those sectors. Had they done so they would have realized that the bill is not fit for purpose as this was meant to be the blue print for the next 10 years of operations.
Lachie....fess up....you don't know what I'm talking about....if you did....and you really cared....you'd be trying to get in touch with me just to see what I was prattling on about...
