Stables reacted to Nerula in Next Racing Minister?

Stables reacted to We're Doomed in Stakes
With them continuing to pay stakes back to 14th they might need to address the anomaly that occurs when less than 14 horses start. At Timaru tomorrow for instance the winner of the six horse maiden stayers race receives $10,500 whereas the winners of the rating 83 races on the same programme receive $8,100. That is getting more like the socialist way harness racing arranges their stakes distribution. There should be some incentive for the better performed horses.

Stables reacted to eljay in Trials at Auckland
Gary does a great job with the videos. To get them up by 5 ish yesterday a top effort. Last workout was at 2-30. Where you have probably been misled is that the club list all the fields as trials whereas only one was and the rest are workouts and when the results are posted they are shown correctly. Why this happens I don't know - must be a reason.

Stables got a reaction from JJ Flash in Dean Mckenzie departing .
Crow, the reason for the delay is that the new Tripartate board to replace Rita has not yet been established. This Board is to be made up by an appointment from each of the codes and will decide the percentage of the funding that each code will get. At the moment there is considerable debate about the split of the funding between the codes.

How better can they promote NZ Racing internationally compared to what cant be done currrently by the NZ TAB? Specifically, what will enable them to promote NZ Racing better? Wouldn't the major part of the value for them be having a monopoly of just about all NZ gambling in their stable?

You're actually an extremely dangerous and stupid thinker. Actually using the word "think" when referring to you is an insult to thinking.
Brainless and Brainwashed idiot.

Stables got a reaction from JJ Flash in Stratford pulls the plug.
No Nomates, I have not been in receipt of them, however I was a member of several country clubs some years ago and i do know that in those times at least the vast majority were operating at a loss. Without applications to the amenities funds their facilities would have been a shambles. I was at Geraldine some months back and public facilities were non existant. There needs to be a minimum standard for Clubs to hold race meeting these days and if its not there then they shouldn't be allocated permits

Mike, your comments can be rather caustic at times and they evoke angry responses. I object to being told to go back to the sandpit, how patronising is that. It's you two boys throwing mud in each others face unnecesarily thats bringing the tone of the conversation down several notches. I'm sure you've heard much worse language in your time Mike

Yes Nomates I couldn't agree more to your statements

No problem with country tracks other than the cost of their upkeep and the cost of getting to them

Mike, grandeur is not a problem of mine, you are the one who has been recently resurrected

I concur Whyisit...cut them adrift!
Compare Stratford RC to Waverley RC (regular track and facility improvements, cash comfortable and still playing the game)...no self-appointed, self-absorbed, entitled, non-achieving relics there!

It should have come as no surprise to anyone, Greg knew he would be looked after when he left the TAB

I sense a bit of aggro there Mikie , us Tasman men should be more collaborative but NZ racing just ain't like that !
Even tho an enthusiastic , unlike you an Industry bigwig , I think I am doing my bit.
I try to spread the love re NZ racing........pay my bills to a few trainers and syndicates , and regularly attend meetings.A small bettor ,since lockdown I have increased my bets by 5 x times as I aware betting on NZ TAB is the lifeblood of the Industry.
I think I do my bit...more than the average NZ racing follower .....though I stopped the bleeding just last week on my 'breeding' career.
My breeding and partner and I sold our mare for $600.......she was carrying a $15k service fee and had four winners from 4 foals at races. One other died so she bred no complete duds.
And what are you doing ,other than posting aggressively on social media ?
You and those close to you have been big players in Racing during the steep decline of the industry over the past 30 years.....I sit and watch the train wreck you have been an influence on.Like many you seem to long for the good old days , resistance to change........why encourage the like of Stratford and Avondale to go to court to thwart the Industry [again !! as they have done previous to resist change ]
Methinks some racing people have been so close to the Industry they can't see the train wreck !
Its kinda sad !
With your experience you should start with a clean sheet on how the Industry should progress to give it some hope of survival.....accept change is necessary.
Sadly your club is probably doomed as one that holds TAB meetings in your home town !
100 years.....a good innings !And you had the Ranfurly Shield once !

2020 is slowly coming to an end and yet people with ideas from the 1930s are getting a lot of press coverage.

Yes he did, but it sure as hell won't be allowed to happen for 8 years
-
Stables got a reaction from JJ Flash in Nigel McGrath
You are correct 2Piper he can own a horse during the period of disqualification, but he cannot race it. He could buy a horse at the yearling sales, but not in his qwn name and he would be breaking the rules if he was to train the horse. The only horses he will be permitted to sell would be those in his ownership at the time of his disqualification.

Ohokaman, about 30% of americans are certifiably insane, these two are classic examples of that insanity

Stables got a reaction from JJ Flash in Nigel McGrath
No, he has been classified as a disqualified person by the Judicial control Authority, it makes no difference that he wasn't a licence holder at the time of his disqualification
