  1. There is no way they would be able to hold a meeting unless they come back into the fold. No date would be allocated to them and no betting facilities would be made available to them. Talk of bringing in an overseas betting agency could not happen. The TAB has a monopoly on betting on horse racing betting in New Zealand. Stratford are dreaming if they can run a racemeeting on their course under the current arrangements
  2. I think it's more the quality of a lot of the racing at the moment Mike. Wait till the better horses start back racing, I'm sure during and after the cup meeting your interest will be piqued
  3. Yes you're right Voice Of Reason, it is trivial
  4. Yes he did, but it sure as hell won't be allowed to happen for 8 years
  5. I'm sure the RIU will be keeping a close eye on him. With some shorter term disqualifications they may have turned a blind eye, but Nigel has pissed them off too often. There may be one way out for him, if he could get someone to take over his stables and train from there, but McGrath would have to be very careful not to be seen to be involved
  6. You are correct 2Piper he can own a horse during the period of disqualification, but he cannot race it. He could buy a horse at the yearling sales, but not in his qwn name and he would be breaking the rules if he was to train the horse. The only horses he will be permitted to sell would be those in his ownership at the time of his disqualification.
  7. Ohokaman, about 30% of americans are certifiably insane, these two are classic examples of that insanity
  8. No, he has been classified as a disqualified person by the Judicial control Authority, it makes no difference that he wasn't a licence holder at the time of his disqualification
  9. Technically by the rules he can have nothing to do with any horses registered with HRNZ and he cannot enter a racecourse
  10. Trump 40%, Biden 46% as per the latest poll of polls dated 9 July 2020.
  11. You shouldn't have tempted fate Idolmite. The last thing we want is for Trump to win in November, especially if it means that our resident psychopath feels he has an entitlement to continue posting his garbage. There's only 6% between Biden and Trump now, 2 weeks ago it was 12%
  12. Why would I bother answering such a stupid question, there's 555,000 dead and 12.3m infected from covid 19 for God's sake
  13. Now Mike, you know damn well that most Club Committee menbers are selected by the incumbents and very rarely are required to face a ballot by members of the club
  14. Hey, 100 0, you accuse Ohokaman of not answering questions, how about answering mine. Or is it as I thought, the mindless ravings of a lunatic
  15. How could the board agree to this, what are this guys skills? What has he brought to Harness Racing? I understood it was an interim appointment, why are they not actively seeking a replacement? How are the Committees of Harness Racing Clubs not calling for a Special general Meeting so that the Board of HRNZ are made to explain their decisions? Does anybody actually give a Damn?
  16. Okay 100 0, who are the real people on the coal face. Give me some names and interviews and give me your definition of on the coal face?
  17. Yes 45, please tell us who?
  18. They obviously have no interest in the future of racing, only their little pile of dirt.
  19. Dingle, there is a closing time for nominations, you should abide by it. Too many trainers sit back anticipating the nomination time will be extended, so they can study the entries and decide which race would best suit their horse(s)
  20. Whats the old saying, if you want to fuck something up, put a committee in charge
  21. His ability to peak a horse for a big race was something that only good trainers coud do
  22. I agree, all he's going to achieve by appealing is cost himself 10's of thousands of dollars and maybe get his disqualification reduced by one or two years. A pity, he was an excellent trainer
