Kotare went 3.15 Baz.... and you couldn't question riders chasing that tempo
Kotare Chief went sub 2.02 running 3200m in 3.15 so in this instance riders fell asleep

I sincerely hope that people will not say that Tauhei Notts was once wrong;

Where did that figure and the claim that they are not paying the same fees as other overseas bookmakers come from? I doubt it came from Cameron George as suggested. Are Bet365 not paying GST either? And if true, which I also find unbelievable, why have TABNZ not done anything about it?
I'd say there is a fair chance that de Lore has got his wires crossed again.
He aims to claw back the 30 percent of all online betting in New Zealand that goes directly offshore to Bet365, a privately owned platform that gives nothing back for the use of NZ racing.

Wow, what a stat!! Awapuni would not be much better. I can think of Toni Davies who may still be on loan and Jimmy Chung.
Levin doesn't fear any better...they don't have any senior riders let alone apprentices!

And this shambles cost how much..50 million????? What a joke.
This dog betting platform form Paddy Power was shit from day one !
It needs to go and the NZ TAB need to get out of this bad contract that's costing Racing millions a year just to maintain !!! How well is that going ???
Thanks John Allen and Glenda Hughes you corporate incompetent dogs!- Insider, nomates and Hedley Jordan

Extra Flash definitely ridden by Stephen Autridge owned by the Tappers (Hec maybe who trained Avon's Lord 1980's)?

Punters robbed again! 1kg extra over 2100m certainty didn't help. Reminds me of the VRC officials and Billy Pinn debacle claiming 3kgs instead of 2kgs. I have since been informed Sagunto's trainer had alerted the stipes to inform the TAB of this weight discrepancy to protect punters who had punted the horse in from $7 into $4.80 who may have opted for a refund? Little too late for most

Favoured runner for the Trentham Stakes Sagunto was incorrectly carded 56kgs and will now carry 57kgs. How does this happen? Obviously a lot of money including fixed odds punters is on the horse thinking he was to carry 56kgs!

The best thing to happen at Avondale in years ! That ancient eyesore is now gone!
The question now is do they sell up and join ATR or re-build a multipurpose modern day function facility for the public to enjoy on race days and non race days ? -
When will the TAB buy back the old web-site the current is shit and full of it !

$10 million, I reckon they didn't figure on anyone winning it. Bloody deserve it. Only thing is the TAB can't afford to lose that sort of money can they ?
Exactly what I thought...that's a lot of stakes money for an industry that needs it !

Congrats to Darren Danis riding to victory aboard Te Akau's second stringer Star Of Justice in the BARNESWOOD FARMS STAKES (G3) at Ashburton today.
Great to see him back winning after a lengthy spell on the sidelines from a bad back injury.
Got to feel sorry for Niranjan Parmar who was booked to ride her on Saturday missing out on $100,000 GROUP 3 win today.
I'm not sure the reason for the rider change as he isn't suspended or down as sick ?
However I noticed he was missing from other runners he was engaged to ride on Saturday as well.
Bad luck for Niranjan is Darren's good fortune I guess.

What chance the track surface will dry out enough to even race then ?

2100m at Hawera must be further than 2100m at Avondale?

The Strathayr surface being installed at Ellerslie will go a long way to help fix winter racing woes in the North at least.
