  7. I appreciate your passion and this is rather an emotional tirade and so I presume that you are involved with this media. However, as with anything, when we choose something as our job and our profession, we do so, we hope, with open eyes, and with all that it entails. I do so, and hope that I enlighten minds, show good leadership and if not.. I suffer the outcome in the trimester evaluations. My job is not to host racing shows, or present racing informative programmes, however if you choose to do that and see yourself as someone that is able to offer this knowledge to others, and believe me, you have to be sure you know more than they do, then you have to open yourself to feedback. If you are going to do that you need to be researching 24/7, you need to study form, breeding, and ask decent questions that show you have done the background work. Anyone can ask how has your horse worked, how do you think it will run today, do you think it will run on, did you like the way it let down last start ... instead ... how about asking where to from here on how it runs today, what are your tactics on this track, be it wider, shorter straight, left/right .. do you think the weight is a problem and how do you factor this in next start if it runs well, breeding shows that distance could help/hamper/future options, if you plan to progress to this you'll be possibly facing these horses.. naming them ... there is never anything forward thinking .. anyway.. that is just my take on this and.. in answer to your question.. no I choose now not to watch over the day .. until I know that Aussie racing has kicked in and they take over the show until harness starts. It shouldn't be that way but sadly it is.
  8. I've been to a jumps only day at TA and it was a very enjoyable day. I spent the day with Garrick.. G Unit to some who may remember him on here.. and I agree.. it is a good venue
  9. I see talk about Strathayr not being a jumps surface. Moonee Valley continued to host jumps racing for 15 plus years after changing to Strathayr. Finally moving the Hiskin in 2011'ish due to Victorian Racing changes in focus, nothing to do with the track .. why now is the surface not considered suitable for jumps? I have to admit... I'm not a fan of jumps races anymore, but I don't understand the logic of that statement.
  10. I like Suizuro, he's a very nice horse. Really keen to see how he progresses on in Spring.
  11. A cliffhanger all day for us today Foxmerts and Ivan.. those one picks that can double up are constant worries Was a challenging and fun day, thank you! Foxy One you just do your thing and pull those where did he find that out of the burrow each week

  14. I think it's a wise decision. I think the shorter MV straight is to her advantage with her burst of speed and her ability to run so smoothly on the turn, and if she prefers running that way then all the better.
  15. Yes it's interesting how they refer to and decide on horses and their nationality Her dam is owned by Yulong now isn't she? I believe they purchased Berimbau, already in foal, earlier this year.
  16. Randwick also has twice the length of straight, not so easy to pounce and hold on over an additional 230 metres.
  17. If she does get a go I hope they keep Mickey Dee on, she really seemed to gel and be herself with him and to relax with him in the saddle which I think contributed to her run.
  18. It's a common concern in these comps that no day is won until the last race is run... so many times over the years in various comps and especially PJ's super comps I've been swamped in the last race because more often than not players use their BB's in the final race and they go all out... last chance saloon .. But kudos to them... they still have to pick the winner or Quinella!
  19. What will the TAB do then... we previously had I wish I win vs Giga Kick... if Imperatriz gets a slot in the race .. what then after all the previous hype and odds on offer? You'd have to say based on today that Imperatriz would be Giga Kick's biggest oppo if she starts. Giga Kick will definitely be going up a notch performance wise on today and if she started they might rethink their game plan, so it's getting exciting
