Less is more. Why would you take a quality product and turn it into a $2 DOLLAR SHOP item. Racing use to be something to look forward too now it is being force fed and we are expected to gamble like pokie addicts, money on push a button, money on push a button. The quality of overseas races shown and available to gamble on is not designed for the enthusist but for the problem Gambler, who should be happy. Thats nothing you should see where they place the marques at Wellington during their cup week, every horse racing has to walk along side them to get to the birdcage, I saw two people knocked over by horses coming or going to the birdcage, Guess when there is money involved which directly effect the clubs then health and Safety does not apply. They also put marques up between the tie up stalls and parade ring at Wanganui !!

Over 40 years ago as a kid I wandered round the stabling area unsupervised Patting horses and asking questions while my father gambled his dollar each way, which he still does today. This is where I got my interest in racing, there was a hell of a lot more people on course and wandering round the stabling area. Accidents happen to avoid them wether around horses or at home stay in bed

I agree I think it is way over time for racehorse owners to stand up and say enough is enough, All Costs are going up and stakes are going down. Time for an owners strike. Where would they all be without us UNEMPLOYED
