  1. Anyone else still finding the new website really difficult and slow to use to track the sales results? If you're looking at individual lots then hit the back button, it doesn't take you to where you actually were on the page, or if you'd sorted the lots in a certain way it gets rid of that when you hit the back button. There are some things that are better with the new website, but I'm finding overall to be not very user friendly, seems it's been built by a techy that either hadn't used the old site, or didn't get anyone that had to test this one. Hope they improve it at some stage.
  2. Doesn't it just follow on from the last sale they had? So the last sale NZB had was the 2015 RTR, where the last lots dam began with "O", so then the first lots dam in K1 2016 begins with "P"? I think that's how it works anyway.
  3. If you right click on the link to the video and select "Open in new window", then when it opens just click on the view full screen icon (bottom right corner of the video) and you can watch it in full screen mode.
  4. Well, all 3 of mine have now been named and raced, the Guillotine/La Montreux colt is called White Shadow and races in Singapore and has had 2 starts for no placings. The Rip Van Winkle/Thunderchine filly is called Sakamoto and races in Western Oz, has done ok in a couple of trials, winning 1 and coming 2nd in another couple, but has now had 2 starts for no placings. The Shocking/Crystalthecowgirl colt is named Antonio Guiseppe and is raced here in NZ by Murray Baker and won his first start at Avondale yesterday by nearly 3 lengths, looks very smart, nice to get a run on the board with one of my picks! Anyone else have any of their picks getting to the races yet?
  5. Fair play to NZB, I emailed them about the problem with searching with in pedigrees and they've now fixed it.
  6. I'm finding it quite difficult to use as well, and the searching within pedigrees function doesn't work, which is a pain, I like to look for horses related to mine or from families I know. There are some good things with the upgrade, but looks like they've got a few bugs to iron out.
  7. Has there been any talk of the owners who took their horses to the meeting being compensated for the costs involved in getting their horses their? The club should pay all costs involved, it’s always the owners that end up paying when there are stuff ups like this, the whole thing is a joke, why would you bother racing a horse in NZ? Trial here and go to Oz and leave this muppet show behind.
  8. I don't know of any that will give you exactly what you want and are free, like the nzracing website here, but you can try http://www.stallions.com.au/salesresults/search.php and search for the sales results of the dam of the horse, and if it's been named in Oz, it should hopefully appear. Another option is http://www.racingandsports.com.au if the dam of the horse raced in Oz or any of her progeny have, then if you do a search on her, there will be a tab that shows her progeny, otherwise you can use Arion.co.nz but you'll have to pay for the report.
  9. No Excuse Needed could be a good option for you mare. He's a proven sire and at a good price if you're looking to race, and to me matches quite well with your mare, should get some of the natural muscle from Elusive City and some of the leg No Excuse Needed can put into his stock and you get another line of Mr. Prospector.
  10. Hi Berri, my picks are: Lot 585, Sold for $32,000, bought by Hawtin Racing, Sire: Guillotine, Dam: La Montreux, Sex: Colt. Lot 857, Sold for $46,000, bought by John Chalmers Bloodstock, Sire: Rip Van Winkle, Dam: Thunderchine, Sex: Filly. Lot 1018, Sold for $97,500, bought by Phil Cataldo Bloodstock, Sire: Shocking, Dam: Crystalthecowgirl, Sex: Colt.
  11. Don Eduardo colt out of 2 time winning Australian mare Brandy Star. All 3 of Brandy Stars progeny to race so far have been winners, with the most recent breaking maidens at just her 3rd start on 25/02/2013. For more details and photos of the colt, he can be found on the Gavel House website by clicking on the following link. http://www.gavelhouse.com/nz/listings/show/id/10411
  12. The mare returns were due at the end of Feb last year, so I would expect they'd have a similar date.
  13. Has anyone else noticed that the pdf Mini form you can download from the TAB website is missing some information for a number of runners. There are a lot of runners that don't have their left and right running stats, for example in race 9, number 6 Axl Rose, he's won 1 from 1, but it doesn't have the L(1-1-0) and the R(0-0-0) that most of the other runners have. Very strange and a bit of a pain as my tipping program picks up all of these stats. Hopefully just an oversight and they'll include all the stats in future.
  14. register yourself for gst and get a good accountant to prepare your year end accounts that's familiar with bloodstock accounting as there are a number things you can claim on and write down. good luck
  15. Thanks for the suggestions Berri, these photos were actually taken the day after she was born, which is now over 2 and a half months ago. She got a little top heavy there for awhile, but she has since developed more leg and is now looking like a lovely filly with nice straight legs, hopefully she keeps progressing and if so we'll likely take her to the 2014 sales, hopefully there's plenty of interest in Paco Boys progeny.
