Rusty reacted to We're Doomed in Pike: Trainers need urgent assurances from RITA
I actually think it's disgusting that an Industry that has been about forever and had some great times, some great people, and contributed so much to NZ society, can be run into the ground in a relatively short time by a bunch of people with no vested interest in the industry, who will happily step away without any concerns at all.
I think the current participants owe it to all those who have gone before to get rid of all the no-hopers and do whatever is possible to try and keep the business going. Get back to basics and get back to racing people running the industry.

Rusty reacted to Red Rum in Pike: Trainers need urgent assurances from RITA
Haven't racing had a bit from taxpayer for the AWT ? 23 mill I thought it was .That's a decent handout for any sport , plus the tax credit for high priced yearlings does racing/breeding really want more tax payer dollars . Lot of shiny arses on big dough according to some of those wage subsidy details . I think they might want the taxpayer reassured the costs are cut first and by a lot , and how long the 17 mill a year goes to Paddy Power needs paying for .
So 23 mill AWT, 30 mill to feed hungry families . Racing doing alright out taxpayer when it's put in those terms , I like kids to have food in their bellies rather than blokes in subsidised BMWs pushing paper.

Rusty reacted to Red Rum in Experiment for Certainties Control Samples
After week one results are one stopped the rest collects , at least 5 without scrolling through . It was also found that by labelling them the stopping effect blew out the price a bit but in fact gave the horses a right old fashion drill sergeant style kick up arse double tap march .
Even the subject matter of experiment, CT found a winner at 3.20 that battled on hard to line as if to say "fxxk it " I will survive .
I have to say iam only using an old childhood kids Lab, the old one with a smiley kid and dad on box watching a bunson burner in living room but the residue left ter my burn off shows " stopping " effect from period midnight Saturday to 7pm NZ time today to be not in operation . Might be air pressure or other weather factors though Rusty .
Thanks for your support .

And another tick Rusty , nice .We need another hot pot certain wobbler shorter price the better when you get a chance , ask the tab to do a bonus where you can request shorter odds than they offering that way the stopping forces put out need maximum pressure to work .

Rusty got a reaction from CT"s in One for the battlers at Sandown today.....
That thing fought like a caged Tiger trying to escape from Joe Exotic, or Carole Farkn Baskin.
Well done CT.

The Yanks do a bit of Dutch betting , two for the win in one race , a lot of merit in covering the bank via a saver or each way even at less than evens the place .
BGP are a good twenty 20 batsman, they swung for boundary in last bet last week I see and put it out park , got out trouble , this week caught on ropes , that's their MO I suppose . Not for me , each to their own . Hopefully the people hooked in a good way moderate within means punting . I like they put a warning up , good on them . Losing it all a good thing for newbies , a healthy dose of reality early .

"Yeah Des, good morning from a beautiful Autumn morning here in Christchurch. It is about 16 degrees here and I can see the nor'west arch from my living room. Going up to 22 today Des, and rain coming tomorrow and Tuesday."
Always failed to mention the wind like Tony Greig on the 12th man...
The wind is blowing 20k's from the north-east and outta my ar$e at about 30.

Firstly, I wasn't involved as one of the selectors as such seeing it was Australian racing. I still went into the syndicate. There is no NZ racing at present and with people in lockdown it was decided to give people an interest and some entertainment. It was also pointed out prior to joining to be prudent and only do so if one could afford to do so.
Perhaps if you did a bit of research on BGP you will clearly see plenty of positivity emanating from the group in a number of ways.

Disclaimer: I am a member of BGP, got the polo shirt, wear the hat etc. So I could be bias. Note I was not in the punter's club however.
The punter's club that ran over the last two weekends, was labelled "the spirit lifter" - in these times of bugger all on, it was an opportunity for those that wanted to, to throw some coin in, grab a share and have some entertainment.
The first week returned a good result, $139-$140 per ($100) share.
The vast majority of the punter's club, wanted to "go again", the following week. I think from memory only 7-8 people pulled out after week 1.
It was very clearly stated, prior to signing up, that the purpose of the punter's club was to have some fun, there were no guarantees of any returns and also the importance of current situation, that potential participants give thought to their current financial position. Luke and the gang should be commended on advising this.
Well done the lads for giving it a crack, and giving many people a bit of fun for a couple of weeks.
