  1. Not my doing at all, and I wasn't even involved with their punters club this time unfortunately. I just wanted to share some of the bets they placed, to give people a bit of an added interest in the day, and maybe they may like to join in the next punters club they run.
  2. It's meant to bring good luck.
  3. Boss mate, leave your bubble, it's not safe to stay where you are at the moment. Come and look after me... I think I may have this Chinese Flu thing. I woke up in the early hours this morning in a big sweat...
  4. Thought I would share this, as it may provide some with entertainment during the lock down period. I recommend downloading the Sen app for something a bit different on offer for (aussie) racing coverage. I say a bit different, as they cover the races... but they don't have race callers doing the commentary (really need the telly on in the background). Once downloaded, tap "Sen TRACK" to listen to the trackside racing coverage. The hosts are all quite knowledgeable and take the piss out of eachother a fair bit, with plenty of disagreements, arguments and plenty of opinions throughout the day. Stay home. Save lives.
  5. I think the next move will be for Trackside radio to just become a simulcast of Trackside TV. In the unfortunate event of a jockey, driver or trainer getting the chinese flu, the curtain will come down on racing soon after. I don't agree with this, but it will. Try and enjoy what we have now. Because soon it may be gone. I hope I am wrong. Sometimes you don't know what you have, until it's gone.

We all know the answer to that... No.
  7. What type (other than fast) of horse would be suited to nights like these? The highest assessed horse accepted for the night is R64 and there are 2 maiden races out of the 5 races. With all respect to connections, the fields aren't exactly chocka block of classy performers. Not a fan of mile racing myself, but I would have thought the sprint trip would have evened out the playing field a bit, especially with PBDs in use.
  8. I just can't be arsed looking at the moment, I'm too lazy... but is the reason there are more noms at the Mot than the Met, due to the ratings system offerings? E.g more lower class races are scheduled at the Mot than the Met, so more horses are entered there, than the higher class of ratings on offer at the Met?
  9. Looking forward to reading an indepth answer to this... Not having a go at anyone, just genuinely interested, as it is an excellent question.
  10. Post vet check, Catalyst is going back home to NZ, with bruised fetlocks.
  11. Part of the bullsh!t spin that was dished out when Trackside was removed from Freeview, onto pay tv, was that yes, one would need to pay to view Trackside, however there will be more magazine style programming of industry related shows and feature pieces of those within the industry... For those that don't have pay tv, and would like to watch The Box Seat, it is usually available on You Tube within a day of the original broadcast. My vote, for what it's worth, would be to keep it. It would do more harm than good ditching it. It does not go to air every single week, they take a decent break every winter and a short spell over Christmas/New Year. Get rid of Dog Zone and ban greyhound racing. Save some coin and some live bait that way.
  12. And to be fair to the guy, even though he couldn't pick his nose let alone a winner, he is pretty slick and very professional presenter.
  13. Should rephrase that, and say how poor he tips. I don't think Ivan is too harsh at all. Sometimes the truth hurts.
  14. He does seem to be Goooooone! (in a Bill Lawry voice) after the first leg on a very regular basis...
