MG - How confident right now are you Paul that we'll be racing the Manco Easter at Ellerslie this Saturday?
PW - 100% confident Michael
LOL!!!!!
And how confident are you that youve ballsed up a huge chunk of our industry Paul?
55,000,000% confident

What an absolute joke Ellerslie and ARC are. They dictate terms of our racing calendar and now serve up this crap after being gifted $55M. They've almost single handedly destroyed our industry and are oblivious to being accountable.
Wilcox needs to man up and hand in his resignation. Will be 55,000,000 - 1 of that happening though.

FFS Wilcox was quoted in NZ Herald yesterday as saying 'the matting was on the top level' Page 28
He is a bonafide idiot. Leave.

Wilcox - go now.

Chucking on a heap of sand and then having trials so soon after???!!! Crazy approach if you ask me. And lets throw in a race meeting to boot! Wilcox has no idea. Looks like he thinks that taking 18 months off racing to produce a dodgy track is totally OK but a freakish incident on the morning of NZ Cup day deserves a raft of sackings. What a clown.

I see Hastings isn't going to be ready for the 27th April meeting now , hence another reshuffle of CD meetings .
Seriously you couldn't make up the shambles with our tracks over the last 2 seasons in particular .
If someone had said 5 years ago this was going to happen with all our major tracks even the most skeptical among us would have scoffed .
Just as well they didn't get their way and close all the tracks they wanted to quickly , I think , and I could be wrong , but I think Te Rapa is the only track that hasn't had a meeting canned for an unsafe surface . That alone speaks volumes about the state of our racing .
Ellerslie , Trentham and Riccarton , our supposed flagship tracks are currently letting the industry down in a major way , along with Hastings and Awapuni , New Plymouth and to a lesser extent Otaki , the CD has an endemic problem all of their own .
Rudderless doesn't even start to describe the leadership .
And here's a thought to finish with , what if Entain hadn't come along ??????
Hawera is in great shape and leads the way in Taranaki. Use it!

What an absolute shambles. Well done Ellerslie. Not.

What an absolute shambles. I remember Wilcox appearing on Weigh In after the 2022 NZ Cup meeting got postponed. If my memory serves me right, he was very direct in saying Tim Mills should be held accountable and that heads should roll. Well Mr Wilcox what's your stand on this fiasco? Prepared to walk or happy to be sacked?
Is it true the installation of the turf was done in vastly different stages over a length of time?? If so then how could they possibly get a consistent surface for the entire track perimeter?

You know the worst thing about all of this? We have lost the hill. Gone forever for this crap track.

How am I "playing the man"? If we have so much discontent on here about the leaders of our industry how can anyone laud the job that CG has done for NZ Racing??! Or has he never made a poor decision?
If we follow JJ's theory about having to be qualified or linked to some leadership role before criticising their performance then why have free speech? With that criteria no one can come on here and bag a jockey unless they have ridden X amount of winners, no one can question a trainer unless theyve trained X amount of winners, no one can bag an All Black unless theyve worn the black jersey in the past, etc, etc. I dont know JJ from a bar of soap and have simply teased his philosophy that only those above or equal to CM in the administrative world should be allowed to judge him. That to me seems ridiculous as mentioned above. I dont know his credentials but maybe when he pops on here and has a whinge about something he should check if he is "qualified" to do so. Perhaps he is a cross between Lance O'Sullivan and Richie McCaw so will always be right when debating racing and rugby.

To be honest putting up a list of the positions he has held doesn't equate with meaning he was successful in those roles .
Someone could list the positions that John Allen has held in his career , but it means nothing .
Listing people's CV's just proves that the Lazy Susan of executive rolls is too bloody easy to jump off and on , and NZ clearly has a limited pool of capable people to choose from .
It's just a bunch of suits playing musical chairs .
No nomates - you and I are wrong and JJ is supremely correct. A list of jobs wins according to him. Game changing fact that one. And remember hes the equal of V'Landrys....except V'Landrys runs an entire professional competition (which Cam is in "charge" of one spoke of that wheel) as well as NSW racing which is a smidgen bigger than NZ's industry. We must bow to JJ.

Why am I being personal when I question his commitment and success with his role in the industry?? Where is there proof of that?
Unless he is working 20 hour days, there is no way in the world he can do justice to either the Warriors or NZ Racing. Go through the threads here that lambast our decision makers. Or is he excluded from this? Perhaps you have some personal favoritism towards Cameron. A stupid assumption which highlights the ridiculous statement you made.

Would be interesting to compare the Auckland Cup carnival numbers to that of the NZ Cup week run by the CRC.

Nice diversion , by not answering my simple question your clearly are just another non achieving keyboard warrior. Congrats
That wasnt a diversion, its the reason why he has been poor for NZ racing. How's the much heralded Integrity Unit going?? Bloody great if you're north of Hamilton!! Look out if you're a small time operator and have stood on the cracks in the pavement.
How you thought it was a diversion sums up your inferencing ability.

A predictable response but very disappointing if youre trying to compare these two blokes. One is a doer, the other a gunna. Like comparing apples and rotten tomatoes.

. Care to tell us what achievements and contributions you have made to NZTR at an executive/Governance level?
Care to tell me how someone can be the head of two prominent organisations of NZ sport and do justice to them both?? This should be good.....

Have they been to Trentham? What other courses have they been to in NZ? Inform me as I dont know the answer(s) to the 2nd question.
-
Maybe Weigh In should do a live broadcast from Ellerslie today to get a report from the jockeys as the trials are taking place. That would boost their ratings and inform us pronto on what is going on.

I probably do know more than you, but in regards to the BGP not being allowed to have their functions at Trentham I know nothing whatsoever about the subject.
It appears though that you do know something, so please tell us what it is or pull your head in as you twisted my simple request from you and that was: Is your statement fact or fiction. If fact, evidence please.
LOL! bit touchy is the Insider. Why aren't they at Trentham for the big days is all I asked. Yip you know so much. Sorry.

$53 million.
Imagine Foxton with $2.65M injected into its coffers.
No track is worth fifty three frigging million dollars.
-
Im asking a question. You have the answer? Sound like you know more than me (as usual).
Do tell.
-
Why dont Trentham allow BGP onto their course with their "events". Is it because of the demand for a percentage of the tote takings for the day??
