what i saw last night was absolutely sickening. lets face the facts before making excuses. both stent and mossdale conner should have won. easily. both were clearly better than their opposition on the night. unfortunately punters got robbed by two shocking drives. de filippi was the worst of the two. i dont know if he was trying to hook the horse up or he was suffereing from a bad brain explosion but the horse was never asked to fully extend at any point of the straight. ricky may chose to sit back in the field on a hot favourite. he showed no initiative to put the horse in the race. the horse was left with an almost impossible task. if it were up to me de filippi would get suspended for a year and may 6 months. the excuses may gave in the stipes report were weak and the integrity unit has failed punters with that outcome. heres hoping they show us they have some gumption and put de filippi out for a long holiday.
