Agree that we should wait until a full investigation is complete. Observation: The witholding period for meloxicam is betweee three and five days depending on the amount administered and the physiology of the horse ie the horses ability to secrete the dose. The key issue is when the meloxicam was administered to Tokyo Tycoon.

I remember a horse in Ireland testing positive for nicotine. When he won his next start media asked the trainer what he thinks of his horse….Trainer replied and said “he is a good horse, and if I can get him off the cigarettes I think he might even be a Cheltenham horse”. 

The only thing I'm surprised about these days is that there are not more positives considering the low thresholds in testing, regular application of totally legal medications, pre race vitamins, post race treatments to aid recovery, human fallibility etc, etc
I clearly remember when analysis of a urine sample from one of Richard Hooper's horses (trots) found a ridiculously low level of caffeine (probably swallowed a discarded teabag!) which drove Hooper out of the game.

I see some uninformed speculators elsewhere at best are saying it won't have been intentional as the levels will be so low...funny how people..mostly losers run off at the mouth trying to make themselves seem important when not even knowing the full facts...talking about levels when they know nothing about this particular instance....lets see when the full facts come out how much egg the certain losers on a loser site will have on his and his cohorts faces...The truth will come out, once again I have no horse in this race I just hate nillers and nobodies from elsewhere bleeting on without knowing jack shyte.

Hmmmmm..............the same could have been said about Dynastic. Best to take one race and one season at at time imho.

Yes the OP should have posted the full statement and made clear it was written by TAR. But they're well within his rights to post excerpts. Media organisations never post full media statements, especially ones like this which provide cherry-picked self-defence such as having a clean record this year.

As long as the young fella gets a chance to say how good Dave is at buying young horses he is quite happy.

I'd say trainers don't have to be interviewed but under the rules they "sort of" do.  That doesn't mean they have to give a good interview.  A day or two of mono-syllabic answers would do the trick.

The Trainers association should lodge a formal complaint to stop this imbecile behaviour pre reace.

Be careful though - a new code of conduct has been written to look after people like A Rod.

Interviewing seems like something they are not good at and it’s their job. Unusual. 

Aiden Rodley interviewing Ben Foote regarding his filly Sakura Girl in the Oaks , " where do you expect her to finish ". Diabolical doesn't even start to describe this .

I note that Miss Jools always defends the TAB and Trackside Presenters.  However, the general consensus is that at times the presentation of racing in this country is woeful and sometimes cringe worthy.  If Miss Jools consistently likes it like that she should tell the TAB and Trackside to keep up the good work.  My guess is accolades such as those from Miss Jools would barely cover the bottom of a filing basket.
On the flipside I find it interesting that it seems acceptable for Warren Kennedy to offer his opinion regarding the substandard riding in New Zealand.  He still makes it in and out of the jockeys' room okay.  That begs the question why are Trackside Presenters of today so special?  Maybe Murray from the Friday Flash should be brought out of retirement.
As for Andre Neill drowning out television presenters, one would assume Andre is employed by the club for oncourse patrons because what we see and hear on TV is not part of the racecourse experience.  Microphone technique and Trackside audio levels may need tweaking.  Also the oncourse speakers are set up the day prior to the races and levels tested raceday before the crowd rolls in.  Maybe the crowd was less than expected and did not soak up the noise as thought.

You guys must be a miserable pack of wankers and keyboard warriors, who have nothing better to do with their time than write negative comments about Trackside Presenters.  If you think you could do a better job than the current presenters, why don't you get in touch with the TAB, and ask if you audition for a a job as a presenter, then other people can write negative comments about you on a website like this?  At least the presenters are getting out, and working, instead of hiding behind a computer keyboard, and watching Trackside waiting for one of them to do or say something wrong so you comment about it on here.  Get a life, and a new hobby that doesn't involve being a keyboard warrior.  You guys must have really boring lives since you nothing better to do than be negative about TAB Trackside presenters!!!!!

And when the new licensing criteria comes in all trainers and jockeys will be loathe to open their mouths in person and on social media.

The best horse won and would have won even if it had run straight. The end on frames you see on the screen are deceptive. You needed to be there and see what happened side on. Prowess clearly led and Campionessa challenged her and got 1 bump. The filly pulled out more and won. The others behind that pair were not going to figure in the finish. Thats how I saw it.
