They don't want to spend money to make money its that simple.

With there being limits on the number of people per ownership group being limited on new zealand cup day why would you want to own a horse full stop here in New Zealand.
In my personal opinion I don't think it should matter if a horse has 1 owner or 1000 owners, if the once a year punters see big ownership groups they also might think about taking the plunge and get into a syndicate and race a number of horses.
More owners = More horses racing = big fields ,= increase in turn over = more returns to the industry = potentially more reasons to retain our race horses longer. .
Ownership should be promoted not discouraged.

Lad mate, so serious 😆 it costs nothin to smile or laugh now an then you know, just sayin.....the big picture long term, Harness is changin and I guess we all get to roll with it, or rail against it; in the end it's all about choices, trainers, owners are gunna enter their horse and or choose what path they take for their horse when and where they will....suppose it all comes down to their end goal for their horse 🤔

Yeh Pure, I could think of a few but TurnItUp would be one even Tommy Lincoln, but I guess there's only 10 spots for either (Pacers or Trotters) available, and I'm feelin it's probably up to the Slot owners who they want as their rep, be nice if there was the facility for emergencies etc this time 🤔
