In the highly unlikely event that you post after your opponent and have more than 8 picks in common over Races 1-6, I will try to let you know so you can amend picks before the deadline.  If you don't amend picks before the deadline you won't be disqualified but you will have (non best bet) picks dropped from Race 6 (working backwards) until you have 8 or less common picks.  I'll spell this out before the first race.

I like the 2 format comps.Rewards not only those that pick roughies but also rewards  consistency, saying that I can see the reasoning for  arguments against it.
I'm just happy to have the opportunity to compete in comps, they are a lot of fun so huge  thanks to Scooby , Saynomore and any others that sponsor or score the comps

Have spent a bit of time having a gawk at today's fields and although I'm usually a quaddie man have also put a wee multi that I think has a real chance
    R1 Pour the Wine-Definite top 3,can win
Very talented 3yo filly who always goes a good race.Heard through the grapevine been working a treat.Tough wee race but think the 1400 suits as will small field and track conditions. Jockey also a plus
    R3 Just a Floozie Wins
bolted in at last trial and broke 45 for 800m.Should be winning this at short odds, nice draw gives McNab plenty of options
    R7 Foodies Brother Top4
Should be fitter for this  and stable starting to show form.Should get a cost trip and if it ever going to show form I believe it is today

Assuming everyone spent $42 in each race, with two best bets, the average return on day 1 was 65c for every $1 invested and today it was nearly 80c.
Allowing for the fact that a number of people opted not to take the quinella ($40 on some races, rather than $42) , the actual average returns will be slightly better than the figures above, but still below the expected return given the TAB's take of around 15%.

The problem was that you edited your original post to replace scratchings.  Your edit happened after I recorded your picks.  I replaced your scratching with the horse at the bottom of the card.
I'll update it to #5 and that will be reflected in the next result update.
In future would be good if you could replace scratchings in a new post, not by editing your original post.  I've got enough on my plate without having to go through and recheck the early entries for edits.

richie reacted to Zak Hussai in Press Statement coming to NZ
Group One-winning stallion Press Statement will stand at Novara Park, near Cambridge in New Zealand, this coming breeding season.
Trained by Chris Waller, Press Statement was undefeated as a two-year-old, winning all three of his juvenile starts, including the Gr.1 J.J. Atkins Stakes (1600m).
Press Statement returned after a brief break in the spring to win the Gr.2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill before stamping his authority over Australia’s best three year-olds in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m).
His autumn campaign began with victory in the Gr.2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) before he finished second in the Gr.1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) and third in the Gr.1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) behind Winx and Kermadec before retiring to Vinery Stud in 2016.
Press Statement is by Hinchinbrook and his dam Kaaptive Empress, a nine-times winning daughter of Kaapstad, has produced seven winners, including Group One winning juvenile Pressday, in addition to Press Statement.
At stud, Press Statement has already sired 115 individual winners for more than $12 million in earnings, including six stakes winners and five stakes performers.
Press Statement has an outstanding record with his progeny in New Zealand, with 80 percent winners and 20 percent stakes winners-to-runners, headed by Listed Levin Stakes (1200m) winner Hold The Press.
In Australia, the Chris Waller-trained Press Statement mare Roots won the Gr.2 Emancipation Stakes (1500m) last start and looks a strong chance in Saturday’s Gr.1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m).
Meanwhile, the Kris Less-trained two-year-old filly Pier Pressure placed in last Saturday’s Gr.1 Inglis Sires’ (1400m) behind Militarize.
"Press Statement will give New Zealand breeders an outstanding opportunity,” Novara Park principal Luigi Muollo said.
“As a proven stallion, he will offer breeders value for money. His biggest and best bred crop that number 117 are currently only two-year-olds, so certainly there is upside ahead."
Press Statement will join the Novara Park roster alongside Sweynesse, King Of Comedy and Staphanos who sired last Saturday’s Gr.1 Manawatu Sire’s Produce Stakes (1400m) winner Pignan.
A service fee for Press Statement will be announced in the near future.

I remember a horse in Ireland testing positive for nicotine. When he won his next start media asked the trainer what he thinks of his horse….Trainer replied and said “he is a good horse, and if I can get him off the cigarettes I think he might even be a Cheltenham horse”.
