    OP

What about his manger Rodley he should be lined up if he is taking these rides for him at those weights.
  3. I totally agree with you the manager Rodley should be lined up. By the way is he still the manager for Michael McNab if so how many rides has he had to give up lately for being overweight?
  4. What a ride by Cookie in the last at Auckland contender for ride of the year. Just wondering why he wasn't on Soriano in the Zabeel classic today as he had struck up a good combination with the mare?
  5. I was just wondering as the meeting was postponed on Saturday due to the track conditions wouldn't you of think the stipes would of asked a couple of horses to gallop there this morning to see if the track was suitable for racing.

    Sea Moon

Hey Pogo are you referring to Craig Williams as a cowboy, you can't blame Williams today because Brett Prebble rode Sea Moon.
  7. Was scrolling through a few tial results and saw the name of the great Shane Dye there does anyone know if he is just back here for a holiday or for good ? If so will he be back riding raceday.
  8. I Totally agree with you on the paying out of the money to the Sports betting it is a joke. I had a decent multi running through a race last year ending in Imthemightyquinn winning Interdom Final it runs 2nd Smoken Up returns positive swab but no payout there. I sent a email to the TAB asking why and this is there response. Thank you for your email. While the TAB Betting rules do state that all bets are settled on the results announced on the day (please see the applicable rule below) in this instance we’d like to celebrate another NZ gold medal by making this goodwill gesture to our customers. 14 CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO FIXED ODDS SPORTS BETTING “Podium Placingâ€
  9. Top Kiwi rider returns home with dire warning Zimbabwean-born, Kiwi international riding success story Mark du Plessis has returned home but issued a dire warning about the state of racing in his homeland. Du Plessis's decision to head back to New Zealand after tasting plenty of success in Hong Kong over the past season has bucked the trend of local participants. A host of Kiwi trainers including Bjorn Baker, Craig Ritchie and John Sargent have or are setting up base in NSW chasing the rich prizemoney on offer. Champion rider James McDonald has spent a large part of 2012 riding in Australia and Hong Kong while many of New Zealand’s best horses continue to be snapped up by rich Asian buyers or transferred to Australian trainers with owners again looking to cash in on Australian prizemoney levels. "It's great to be back. New Zealand will always be home to me, I've been here a long time now,â€
  10. I totally agree Steve is the best presenter by a country mile and is very entertaining. I do not no how some of the other presenters even get jobs Aidan Rodley can't even string a sentence together and Popplewell well has he ever picked a winner.
  11. Another big race win For the Best jockey going around Craig Williams on Ortensia.
  12. Why is everyone feeling sorry for McDonald he was lucky enough to get the ride in the first place. He only got on because of the injury to Vinny Colgan as he was her regular rider.
  13. Bowman booked for Kiwi filly in 2012 Australian Derby Hugh Bowman has been booked to ride Kiwi superstar Silent Achiever when the filly arrives in Sydney for the Rosehill Guineas and Australian Derby. Bowman has enjoyed success with Kiwi stayers in the past. The jockey teamed up with Murray and Bjorn Baker to win the 2010 Victoria Derby aboard the ill-fated Lion Tamer. Last Saturday, Bowman partnered the Anthony Cummings-trained Strike The Stars to seventh in the Randwick Guineas. According to Bowman’s manager, Bryan Haskins, the owners of Strike The Stars weren’t entirely happy with Bowman’s ride and consequently went in search of a new rider for the upcoming Rosehill Guineas and Australian Derby. Their decision has proven a lucky break for Bowman, who picked up the mount on the Roger James-trained Silent Achiever. The filly has won five of her seven starts including the Group I New Zealand Derby (2400m) on March 3. Silent Achiever will run in the Rosehill Guineas on March 31 before lining up in the Australian Derby on April 14. Bowman partners Streama in Saturday’s Group I Coolmore Classic as well as Shoot Out in the Group I Ranvet Stakes (2000m) and Sincero in the Group II Canterbury Stakes (1300m).
  14. Couldn't agree with you more Cookie is still one of the best going around and it staggers me that he only rides about 1 or 2 a meeting great to get a couple of collects of him yesterday.
  15. That would of been a tuff decision for the owners to make Craig Williams or Chad Ormsby
  16. I would say he will not be riding for a while after that ride on rollout the carpet yesterday.
  17. What a gem of a ride on King Mufhasa just goes to show what a top rider he is.
  18. How can you say if the race was run again Jimmy would of won. Pinker Pinker drew barrier 12 two more out then Jimmy. It just shows what a great rider Willo is two group 1's with in a week . Rekindled Interest should of run second with a clear run.
  19. I thought that James McDonald was contracted to all the Vella horses so how come he gets to ride Gaston tomorrow when he should be on Santangelo.
  20. Jack's Point looks a great price at $12 ran a 2nd and was a winner at this metting last year and the Lisa Latta stable is always on fire at the Grand national metting.
  21. A great win fresh up and a great ride by the Iceman Cooksley it just staggers me he only rides 2 or 3 horses a metting.
  22. Well said has to be the worst cup field in years.
  23. What a difference a top rider makes in Australia.
