  1. The tosser won’t wind me up. Best way is for us to keep winning races at Riccarton despite what conditions they come up with, 4 wins previous meeting on good 3, 3 on “Dead” track yesterday - beautiful!!! That’s 28 this season at Riccarton I wonder what the moaners think now
  2. Then you should run a copy off weekly and slip under AC door each Monday Unbelievable how wet the track was at Riccarton I guess the moaner last time about how firm the track was now has no excuse for how her team went yesterday, but I’m sure she will find one
  3. Riccarton best track when good 3 Wingatui Washdyke Ashburton Riverton may not qualify but yesterday’s track was very good/fair to all
  4. I don’t think the track was a disgrace but the tracks presented yesterday and during the Cup Meeting have not been as good as previously Over irrigated?? but now where near as bad as Riccarton has been recently My two favourite tracks are nothing like they used to be presented, the common factor OVER or Poor use of Irrigation systems On the flip side Wingatui and Ashburton tracks have been outstanding - they seem to have it right IMO
  5. I guess it was seen as a traveling mate for his Auckland Cup runner Connections received stakes of $3000 for each of the runners
  6. Thank you EJ you are correct.
  7. Pentrometer at the last meeting was “given out” as a recorded 3 But pentrometers are only an average of all recordings Given that the rail was out 11 m as it is likely to be this week the irrigation is very inconsistent patchy so horses are racing well of the fence heading out to the centre of the track and wider where it’s probably a 2 not like the inside. It surprises me (well no it doesn’t ) how certain trainers keep requesting tracks to have give then ask jockeys to head to the firmer part of the track, go figure
  8. Well said/explained It often surprises me how people with no skin in the game bag SI racing I guess at times we are an easy target BUT we race for basically the same money with less cost as elsewhere and our racing is competitive, unfortunately we are getting deprived of race days that should be made available to us I would like to see more racing at Riccartoon but it will come once the AWT comes in It couldn’t stand more racing atm track surface and irrigation policy very average. Wingatui today had an outstanding racing surface fair to all something that we haven’t had at Riccartoon
  9. If they are that terrible go find a nice horse and send it down you should make plenty, the same stakes apply at less cost - sounds easy doesn’t it.
  10. What a pleasure it was today to race horses on a professionally prepared track where horses drawn well were at an advantage 8 of the 10 winners draw 6 or inside as it should be “shortest way home” Congrats Wayne Stevens on a job well done
  11. I agree totally, in recent days, it seems a long time ago that the South Island summer racing began on Boxing Day. I have had horses in and driven our float to every day since, with Omoto the only exception Timaru Kurow Reefton Kumara all have their place and racing should remain at these venues IMO
  12. READ THE STIPES REPORT No interference Thats why Cuneen got 4 days!!!
  13. You’re right I understand open 1200 at Riverton deleted with 5 noms (3 dual noms) but should have been at least given a chance!!
  14. That is very sad to hear Michael was a very popular person always presented his horses in good order Rest in peace Michael
  15. My brother and I had lunch when at Royal Ascot with one of the mover and shakers of the World tote, we suggested he come here for a visit, if only!!
  16. Available on lease ready to go plenty of local racing 10% share $100 then $300 a month approx text/call 021701205
  17. You’re right, I had. a horse beaten 17.5 lengths When I asked George why it didn’t drop rating points he said you raced out of your class Fark I had no say they decided what it raced in not me.
  18. It will only get closed when AWT at Riccarton is operating Do I agree-NO
  19. You aren’t? You obviously don’t know handicapping
  20. You’re getting looked after. WHo do you know
  21. uneasy

    stakes

    Stakes same as pre covid
  22. You get stifled at every opportunity-there is leadership by dictatorship I spoke to Langan, Mills, Aldridge and co and was told that the club chose not to run a 2 and 3 yr old event. Jim Langan didn’t realise there were so many (34) available FFS The open 1200 has to be split those eliminated from the 1400 and 1000m would then have the option to revert to the 1200 Thats how I would do it but I’m only an annoying horse trainer with some commonsense
