For some reason i thought $200 was needed too be spent today,i realised later that it was $20 per race that was meant to be adhered too,hence why some of my bets were 'weird'..ahh well. Spent $180 ($20 deduction after having a late scratching) Return $92 Loss $88 A loss of around $176 for the past 2 days..horrible, considering that i tend too be in my element when it comes too the harness around Canterbury.Ah well..there's always next time.

R1-13 Mystic Reign.Been abit of talk about this filly thru out her career,but has been disappointing on the whole.Went much better last week for 2nd.A repeat of that run will see her go very close too winning this. R2-14 Jake Of Tara.Went ok in a strong 2yr old field up north in the winter before being put out for a spell.Field here doesn't look that strong and he has a little bit of breeding to suggest that he might do something.Possibly a good bet at odds. R3-2 Royal Court.Battled nice enough for 4th when fresh up a couple of weeks back.Is from a good stable and is also drawn nicely.Will be hard too beat in this. R4-4 Talaspring.Just keeps on putting in black book efforts without being able too secure a win.Drawn nice here and she should appreciate the big roomy track.A big winning chance here. R5-4 Dreamer.Been going nice all season,and finished well for 2nd at Ashburton.Another good effort looms here. R6-13 Life And Soul.Won well on the grass at Methven 2 back.Then not a lot of luck on Cup Day.Is a smart sort who can go close to winning this if he brings his 'A' game. R7-14 Soky's Gain.Ran a couple of solid races over Cup Week.Hasn't raced on the grass before,but that shouldn't bother her.An honest sort who can feature in this. R8-1 Mullingar Mac.Got shot down in the straight last time out after leading and not getting any peace.Drawn here too get a nice run on the speed.Will be thereabouts. R9-9 Earl Of Frolic.Been disappointing in his last 2,but prior efforts were very good.Does perform well on this track and he can get into the judges call in this. R10-13 Move It Molly.Finished hard for 4th at Kaikoura when fresh up.Is a handy mare and would of got lots of improvement with her first up run.A big chance in this. R11-3 Beaudiene Christian.Was way too good for them after leading up at Timaru last week.Drawn ideally too lead them again,and he could prove hard too catch again.

R1-3 Ruby N Diamonds.Been going nice of late.Would of won at Kaikoura 2 back if she didn't break late in the race,then fought nice enough last time out.If she behaves then she can test this lot. R2-12 Black Swan.Started his career off with a 2nd then was a bit rank in his other 2 starts.Ran 2nd at the Methven trials recently.Not a strong field so looks a handy chance here. R3-12 Lady Peyton.Has gone well in her 2 races in her career.Fought well behind the stablemate last week.A repeat effort would see her figure in the finish in this. R4-19 Bunda Cliffs.Has hit the line well in his last 2 runs.Does go ok on the grass and would be a good each way chance on latest efforts. R5-15 Jasper Maguire.Has been gunned down late in his last 2 runs.Stand start manners are good,so looms as a nice chance in this. R6-4 Cullens Creek.Good runs over Cup week.Is a previous winner on the grass which is a plus.Racing in good form and will test the likely fave in Second Wind. R7-5 Justakiwiboy.Nice enough effort last week after having a wee spell.Is trained on the course,so should know every inch of grass.A nice trotter who should win a few more races in his career.A good EW bet. R8-16 Tim Kelly.Raced ok over the Addington Carnival.Stand start manners are normally foolproof.Unbeaten on the grass and a win would be well deserved. R9-6 With Intent.Gutsy mare who hardly goes a bad race.Won on the grass at the start of her prep.Talented sort who can handle this lot. R10-17 Banyula Fella.An honest sort who fought well for 4th last week after doing some work.Will be in the mix at the finish.A good bet too finish the day.

Mr W i agree with you about All The Way,if he converts his Addington form to this race then it should definitely be his race for the taking,stand start manners are good as well.A couple of others i like are in the 1st trot of the nite,a horse called CUTIE PATOOTIE,from memory she's fresh up tonight but from the Carl Middleton stable who i respect when it comes too training the trotters and he has a very good record at Forbury whenever he ventures south.And the other one i like is another one of Carl Middleton's trotters which is ARUBA who is in the 6th i think...Is fresh but did show talent last prep,should have a good season.

Yea G i was waiting for someone too mention that,and low and behold it was yourself.There horses seem to be starting too get fired up with Cup Week getting closer so no surprises that i was going too launch into them the other nite.All i need is too have them train one of mine then i'll have the inside info .

Yea Richie the $10 was pretty good.I think if he hadn't of drawn wide out he would of maybe have paid around 6s.Glad you got a good collect off it.

Thanks Richie,i'd definitely take the 6 winners gladly . And Turny,i'm assuming when you say cheat that you are referring too Geoff Small??.If so,then yea his horses are a chance..i'd rate Changeover a better chance than the other one,All Tiger i think it is.But Mr Feelgood will do me just fine in that race.

R1-8 Huntsman.Went a nice debut race for 4th then was turned out for a freshen up afterwards.Has had a couple of trials too fit him for this.Drawn awkwardly but could be thereabouts with some luck. R2-16 Night Of My Life.Just missed last time out @ Forbury.Won at the trials on Monday.Is a big winning chance in what isn't a strong field. R3-8 The Big Mach.Went some good races last season.Has been ticking over very nicely at the trials in readiness for this.Drawn wide out but has the ability too feature in this. R4-17 Hoon Hay.Younger brother too Tribute who ran nice races last season.Been going good at the trials.Will improve with this but can feature all the same. R5-3 Quality Invasion.Dead set smashed them last Sunday.A repeat of that effort and he should deal too them again.Very smart. R6-8 Jayee's Magic.Hit the line strongly for 3rd last week.The distance should suit and this field doesn't look overally strong.Should be thereabouts. R7-10 Centreofattention.Smashed them last start then was turned out.Won at the trials last week.Drawn behind a possible potential leader so could get a nice run.Talented horse who will improve with this outing. R8-12 Roydon Flash.Talented trotter who did some good things last season.2nd at the trials last week.Does have a good fresh record and he can blast past them late. R9-8 Mr Feelgood.Much better run 2 weeks back when getting gunned down late.Looks too be nearing his peak and a winning run here wouldnt surprise,a massive chance. R10-6 Ell Raisor.Got home very nicely last week for 3rd from the back.After 3 runs back he should be about ready too show winning form.Good each way bet in this.

R2-11 Raglan.Not a bad effort when 7th behind Highview Tommy in the Superstars last week.Is racing in good form at the moment,and will notice the drop in grade from his last start.Looks a big chance in this. R3-5 King Coaster Anvil.Been in good form prior too his last 2 ordinary efforts.Strikes a weak field here and he has looked like a horse that can get a win,so maybe it'll be here. R4-10 Tatoo.Got home nicely for 4th last time out.Is an honest type who does everything right.More than capable of getting in the first 3 in this. R5-12 Leading Lavros.Covered the world last time out and got tired,fresh up run for 3rd was very good.Looks a talented type who could deal too this field. R6-1 Stylish Monarch.Is a smart type who won 4 from 9 last season.Been going nicely at the trials.Looks a big winning chance from the pole. R7-9 Chief Inanga.Went another solid effort for 4th in a Premier race last week.Drawn out wide over the mobile,but is always thereabouts that you can't rule him out. R8-8 The Fat Controller.Unusually for him he bombed the start last week.If he behaves himself here then he is a top 3 contender. R9-1 Unleash The Fury.Nice run last time out after doing a little bit of work.Drawn too possibly get the good sit behind Meredith Maguire,so that gives her a big chance of being in the finish in this. R10-7 Ell Raisor.Has ran home nicely in his 2 runs for the season.Looks too be a horse with ability and should be ready too show his worth in this.
