The Reserve bank has been working very hard to try and crash proof the economy from the housing market, all banks now have to fund 80% of there lending from within NZ and the responsible lending practice is going to reduce the higher LVR / serviceability ratios as Auckland is out of control with lending up to 9 - 10 times income, this plus elections are slowing the markets. I see Tony Alexander the bnz economist has suggested that some real estate agents should start looking for jobs
Hi Dopey-my thoughts on Belardo were that he throws strongly to the Danehill physic. Smaller, compact and well balanced. He shows a lovely length of rein and overall is nicely in proportion. He tracks up well and extends into his walk, broad in the chest with plenty of room for heart and lungs. He seemed to have a very relaxed temperament, nothing seemed to phase him. Good comments from everyone around us who saw him. We have a very large mare and deliberately look for a type which will compliment her so for us he is one of our top picks this year.
Had a horse in the last at Te Rapa a few meetings back, she ran a really close second so thought we would have a last drink to celebrate a good run - no chance, bar staff were packing up and going
Surely if found that she has perverted the course of justice the RIU has the ability to have her position with the board reviewed as not a fit person to be leading the industry?
Maybe once too often to the well, has had some very hard runs, looked good going to the barrier but stopped with 200 too go. Hopefully team TA will consider a break now
Should we be calling for Mr Foskett, Casper - where is he while we are having theses abandonments and why is he still employed, isn't it his job to make sure our tracks are up to scratch and what of all these reports that have been called for?
Can someone please tell me why in the Levin classic 2 + 3 didn't get a 5 day holiday for the interference in the last 50m, when you compare the contact with Calligraphy (Still not over) Keely be in race 1 at Te Rapa in December which was a minor bump on the line Sam got 5 days and we were relegated (thanks again Mr Oatham)
Dockers, Viktoria has ridden several times for me and she is always the first person to admit when she had a bad ride, it is one of the things that her mentor thinks will make her a good Jockey, the biggest thing she lacks is self confidence.
Biased view but excellent ride yesterday by Sam Weatherley on Calligraphy, first start over 1600 and from barrier 18, just came to the end of it to finish 3rd - nice come back after the shocking Te Rapa decision
Viktoria Gatu is definitely under rated, she sits nicely on a horse and they run for her, great mentors in Chris Wood and Noel Harris. NB: I am biased and if she wins for me on Sunday she will be even better.
As an owner I can really see how lucky I am, I pay $2,500 - $3k per month in training fees ( we have a great trainer so not knocking that) to take my horse to the races for a $7k stake or if really lucky $10k, pay over priced prices for drink and food and told I can't visit my horse in the tie ups before or after the race, I say again - yeah right. My current horse will be the last my wife and I race on our own
