FFS some of you doggie people are so hollow. I take my Mrs to some dog meetings For her pleasure I dont punt or take to much interest in them anymore. BUT have you taken the time to look at how hard that guy works. Almost every race leads and boxes up plus all the other work in the kennels Trust me you have more worries than this issue of which you people just ignore no wonder your games fucked. worried about a little sauce mark on a shirt. The guys gotta eat perhaps no time to clean up or change a shirt if in deed he had one. Tell me when did you last take a spare shirt to work or the races just in case you dribbled more than usual PS I have never met the Coles or their staff and same applies to this big boy who I well call the OX

Yes very disappointing for her on the comeback, I wish her all the very best as well. We keep saying it it's a tough game being a jockey.
Talking of Trav i'm with you i had a good crack at the EW and the drinks and replays of it doesn't help as well 😄

canon47 reacted to Palliser in Ellerslie today….
I said it at the start and have continued to predict that owners and trainers love Entain, but they are rubbish and punters do not like what is happening, starting with the AI tab tool. And all the other stupid plastic things going on. Everything will crash eventually Entain will walk away and leave NZ racing fooked.

Most likely nil. You see the government put the doggie industry on notice at least 2 years ago All they did was reconstruct Wanganui track and spent a couple of mill building the straight track at Wanganui race course. I wont even start on dog welfare like cheaper and easier to put a dog down rather than spend money on vet fees allowing at the least the dog to enjoy its retirement. Take time to visit Sunday jump outs/trails and on race day walk around the back of the stands dogs locked in trailers and hot vans. I am mates of an old trainer in his words the young ones are a different breed its now all about winners and making money the passion has slowly disappeared. For the record I have in the past owned and raced a few dogs but walked away a while ago. JUST to finish have a look at the dates of posts and replies on this dog site where few write and post a true reflection of the doggie peoples apathy

Good on the females, certainly dominated the card, was a great days racing up there, sun was out, thought the crowd was one of the biggest I've seen for some years, heaps of visitors campers filled the carpark, small fields but very competitive finishes, tracked looked good, interesting times for 1020m sprints around 1.01, yet the 1400m running 1.26, only downside was i couldn't back s winner, closest being Far Site win bet at 40s fixed, throughly enjoyed the day regardless, be interesting to see what the put through the tote if anyone out there knows, certainly enjoyed the day better than the last metropolitan meeting I attended, totally different atmosphere.

I had previously singled out my POST OF THE YEAR, but Voice of Reason, this post of yours usurps it well and truly.
So well worded, no bullshit, simply pointing out the mess that the idiots have got us into.

Because of very clever contract clauses that so oftern jockeys sign without independent legal advice example Jockey rides horse in jump out or trail trainer says good ride thanks OH by the way can you ride it next week, Jockey replies yeap but you have to confirm with my agent . Agent does nothing and yet takes 10% of every thing YES jump out .trails race ride fees and winning %%% easy as money for jam just gotta be in first

The way I read it, "when circumstances permit" would not include a situation where a horse has gone amiss as in this case.

Yep the good far outweighs the bad. And as Matt Roberts pointed out the 2 or 3 bad buggers have been doing it for years. They treated their dogs like a cog in a machine. When I had dogs 6 or 7 years ago I was welcome to visit anytime and used to marvel how my trainer used to couches for them to sleep on in a common area. It was amazing they had toys and other bits and pieces.
When you interacted with them, they were so happy and lavished love on you. She had up to 20 odd racing dogs, and they were all loved heaps. I had a dog which broke its hock, we were all devastated but no way was she going to put the dog down. It had its leg fixed and spent it's retirement with his mates.
