If you continue to constantly badger saynomore or question the rules or the legitimacy of the comp one more time you are OUT..understand...you always seem to have an issue with something not one other person here ever complains and thinks we are doing something wrong or sneaky ...only you...last warning ...shut up and play or out you go.

Here's some quick analysis on who has, or still can, make the top 3 in their pool and therefore proceed to the Championship bracket.
    POOL A
Black Kirrama is guaranteed top spot in the pool (he has the H2H tie-breaker over Insider).
Insider will at worst finish in a three way tie for second with Jayar and Ponderosa and is almost guaranteed a spot in the top 3 courtesy of having picked 10 more winners (so far) than Ponderosa.
Jayar, Ponderosa and Alf Riston will most likely be fighting for the final top three spot.
Mr Gee will play in the Plate.

    To All Members
Just wanted to say that we here at RaceCafe do not condone or support censorship, nor do we practice it here.
However there are instances where we need to moderate some posts or threads, which is in the minority, as they are either factually incorrect ,personal attacks on the poster or of a sensitive nature at the time.
We try to be fair to all posters here and do not single anyone out, but we always have said if you post it then it should be true and correct, and no personal attacks.
When we look at posts we try to through the lens of how would you feel if that was being said about you or your loved ones if it was not 100% true.
I hope this clarifies our position and we will try to let things roll with minimal interaction with moderators but please let’s just all be mindful of what you all post and how it's posted.
Honest and robust debate is encouraged on all issues in the industry as I believe it is at a very serious crossroads at the moment, but bullying or personal slurs or attacks will not be.
If anyone has any issues or concerns about anything please feel free to PM me directly.

kingsbeer reacted to Black Kirrama in The Cossack gallant second in $350 K Grand National .
Sir Paul Nelson's judgement was spot on wasn't it ?
So was Shaun Phelan's assessment of The Cossack's  first up run in Australia.
Nelson  indicated His champion had come through his last start( first up in Aussie  5th placing) in great heart.
Today he looked zongkered with all of 1 km to gallop.
TAB corp live betting probably zoomed his odds to 200/1. ( I don't know this but that would have been my odds )
Watch the replay and Phelan's  kind ride. Beaten a big nose.
Emily Farr rode Zed Star for Brett Scott and got around safely.
As did all the horses in The Grand National.
The Cossack must rank up there with St Steven and Rand.
( International jumps champs this last 25 years ).
    There will be more .

FINAL STANDINGS  (subject to a quick review a bit later tonight)
Congratulations to our winner Gubellini who pretty much put the comp beyond doubt with a $1,001 collect from Hard Empire.   Well done also to Cabbage and Stoyd who round out the podium (and the prize spots).
Rev might have scored zero but he did tip out Gubellini and Cabbage in his preview of the comp.
Thanks all for entering and once again thanks to Kingsbeer - let's hope the winners can turn your contribution into some collects.

Thanks to the sponsor and administrator for the very interesting competition.  I thought for a while I had kicked clear on the turn and would hold on (just) until that Queensland bolter flew down the long Randwick straight.  Please also us my prize to contribute to another competition.

    Hi All,
the entry fee is a red herring, I just dont think members are interested in Black Kirrama's idea at all.
I joined Race Cafe a few months ago to put my skill and luck up against other competitors.  It has never been a matter of a free entry format for me.  I am quite happy to pay every week for the  thrill and enjoyment.  The current competition picking 2 horses to get beaten doesnt really interest me, however I still compete.  I like picking horses to win, especially long-shots.
If the organisers of the Race Cafe Competitions contact me I will happily  donate $200 to a "LONGSHOT" competition in the future.
I wish everyone good punting this weekend - and as always thanks to the support team and scorers for their efforts

I understand where you are coming from Kingsbeer.
I think the idea of this comp is really for those that are keen on breeding and horses that are likely to show form over their three year old/moving into four year old seasons - at a pinch five year old, and that are happy to follow their progress and report on it.
It's a comp that will interest some, including me, so I'm in  but I also see that there are others that aren't so interested in that aspect and nothing wrong with that

Been raining pretty much all the last 24 hours, expect a very heavy track for here even though it's sand based, mind you it should be loose, not like Tauranga's last meet.
