With the Pick 6 now relegated to the trash, Quaddies are now what we're expected to go to for that healthy collect for a small or smallish spend (I loath to call it an investment). That's the direction THEY are pointing US, yet they're not keen on telling us what the payout is? I just don't understand. I think sometimes they change things just so that they can say they're changing things.

I get your point, but you say all business needs income and I fully agree, but that's the problem. This industry doesn't and never has generated income, it's continually relied on someone or something to dig them out of the crap and buy them some more time to do nothing about it. Why ? .. because your biggest resource being quality people has never emerged, momentum is non existent and when the money runs out and it will, well before the 5 years we will be in a bigger hole.
Unless you get some quality people across the Country. Just look at Ellerslie as one example.

Surely he can't get Rubira beaten in race 8. Race 6 he picked Jimmy Carter 5th out of 7. Race 7 Ruby Roe last of the 9.

Yep agree somewhat, it put Lance O'Sullivan ( who I admire greatly ) on a hiding to nothing as well. Mind you Waitak did pretty well, considering he was reefing and pulling at the rear with the slowish pace. He did really well considering those at the back had no chance really. Very good point, if that is indeed the case and the sub base is compacted too much and collecting water instead of allowing it to drain, you could possibly have a swimming pool between the matted root structure and sub base which could be the cause. So after a certain amount of rain a saturation point is reached and like having gease between the base and surface. I just hope someone with a brain can come in and sort it out, please don't put that Paul twit on to tell us what the process is from here ffs.

Understand, maybe before your time I don't know. But I used to have a few dogs and was only involved with good people and good trainers who loved and cared for their dogs. They would tell me stories of some real bad crap that was creeping into the sport. Being naive it didn't seem real to me, but here we are 40 years later seeing, and reading about the rogues. Greed, Cheating, Drugs and Cruelty are motivated by money. Some have been caught, and some still haven't. What annoys me that some prominent people in the Industry knew then, and know now, and just zip up. Unless all the crap is removed, then it is just a matter of time.

I reckon Trackside are having a laugh, he gets worse. I heard presenter saying Kahlua Flybye was a fantastic bet at Winton today because The Whale had picked him as his best bet. I felt compelled to watch another red hotter down the track. I bet owners and trainers cringe when he selects there horses. It's really beyond a joke and he should be sacked. Get Jason Teaz on to give us a few selections.

Again .. you just don't get it. I don't profess to be a expert tipster, he does. And everytime his tips are trash, fair enough he's just like a lot of punters. But the fact Trackside keep paying and pumping him up as some guru week after week is misleading. I would love to get paid for pretending to be able to tip every week. Why don't Trackside pay Jason Teaz to have a tipping segment  ?? .. he actually throws out winners and some at bloody good divides.
