  1. Is his 0900 tipping line still running ? .. surely not ?
  2. Fair enough, but as reported in the Otago Times he has been a repeat offender over the years on 6 different occasions where dogs in his care were found to have banned substances in their blood. And as for healthy well cared for dogs, Impressive Isla wouldn't think so, along with dogs that died on the ferry. Several dogs with grotesque injuries when sent for rehoming. Sending dogs to a crackhead son. The list goes on .. the longer heads are buried in the sand the quicker greyhounds will be banned. And even if that doesn't happen in the near future, should we just keep on keeping on as we are ???
  3. Strange you think this is hilariously funny Kenepuru
  4. Yep hear you, but it's getting tiring hearing the same excuses from those snapped with Meth. And Alpha Riley certainly romped to victory when found with Meth in blood. And Impressive Isla was visibly sore and hurting when running a long long last, the fact he gave it pain relief means he knew. And all the other Meth cases say it was by Association ... don't buy it sorry. He has also been done before for mis treatment of dogs, and the photographic evidence was shocking. I feel for the honest and caring trainers who are going to lose their livelihoods.
  5. Thanks, I see. But ultimately he is overseeing operations so responsible. Also dog racing clearly in pain, not sure how that can happen these days. Previous circumstances of dogs being mistreated and injured. What the hell is his son doing operating with known drug problems. You say it is well known within the industry so again .. wtf.
  6. Sounds as though he has been found guilty, and will be banned. If true then I hope it's not the wet bus ticket as dealt to previous offenders. Again if true, how bloody stupid are these people drugging their dogs so they can cheat ?? .. makes you wonder how widespread this is. I can fully understand those wanting the sport banned even though I love the sport myself. If we continue to not get rid of all that is bad then quite frankly it should be banned. Those that are determined to cheat and do wrong better realise it is they that will be remembered as responsible.

Agree, and that is a real issue in the industry, far to many egos. It really annoys me how they convince each other how great a job they do and how awesome it is to work with each other. And if there is any criticism they dismiss it quite frequently, George Simon must read racecafe because he quite often used to respond on TV. Maybe put the egos aside and at least take note of some of the sensible and constructive criticism instead of dismissing so quickly
  8. The Whale has changed tact, he is now stating his selections are there for us to avoid
  9. I rest my case, that attitude is exactly what I said if we persist with mediocrity and that's being polite, then that is all you will get.
  10. The whole industry worries me, we continue to struggle racing wise right down to our Trackside coverage. I find it really hard to praise anyone, and today is the pits .. Sweeney on track and Mark put me to sleep Rosanowski in the studio. At least the likes of Nicole keeps you alert. The whole package needs a thorough shake and clean out. If we persist in mediocrity then that's all we will ever be.
  11. He must be very embarrassed that he is probably the worst tipster in the history of the world
  12. My God, please can we replace Stothart and Rosanowski, they would be the worst commentator/presenter combination in the world. Rosanowski puts you to sleep even in his commentaries, Brian Martin is 100 times better than him, colorful and a bit of charisma, Rosanowski vanilla and monotoned. And Stothart you simply just mute.
  13. You were right he struggled big time
  14. And still it goes on .. I would ask Trackside to release him from his tipping segment and if they have to employ him then just do a bit of presenting.
  15. Yep .. at least the Whale is an alright presenter. Have you noticed Sweeney has started a new theme ? ... he has started responding to comments, race finishes etc with a big mmmmmm .. he's a shocker
  16. How the hell is that an improvement .. get to the crux of the problem. Putting up stakes does f all to improve the industry
  17. More to the point, why aren't they there to enjoy the racing ?? .. instead of seeing it as a piss up.
  18. Agree, but they don't put Sweeney on a pedestal like the Whale with his special segment and claim he is a champion tipster. That is my only grumble .. it's dishonest.
  19. Yep agree, unfortunately the whole industry seems disjointed and no matter what happens they never seem to get it right. I love greyhound racing, but if they can't get the basics right then they only have themselves to blame. Too much deadwood still involved, even some involved in commentating or presenting have been involved with the naughty lot, which means it's rife. Bit like the old boys club.
  20. I noted on Whale Watch his EW bet for the night differed from his EW selection on Trackside ????
  21. I thought the concept is great, enjoyed the coverage, Emily and George were great. Only wee criticism was their location, seemed like they were in a square box or a Garage. Maybe they can jazz things up for them so it's a wee bit more exciting and matches raceday atmosphere somewhat .. like a big screen with presenters on course for them to talk to. But hey great work all.
  22. That's original, how long did it take you to come up with that diamond
  23. Counted 6 dogs placing today paying only $1. Some of those had no form at all, Tiger Bill last 3 starts 6,5,8 ... Toby McGill 2,8,6. Quite a few others paying 1.1 or 1.2. I realise small pools, but still strange.
