Yes they are a big stakeholder, and so are the punters. Money does not solve everything, and I don't know why people think that pouring money into the product with no quality plan apparent will guarantee returns. What happens when the money runs out ?? .. and we are still dealing with operational mediocrity ??

Don't worry Entain are onto it .. I don't know about others but it seems to me that all things about the racing product are getting even worse. If Entain read anything on this thread ... please start at the start addressing all the basics, it's not just a case of pouring money into stakes etc. You need to make sure all your stakeholders are invested and are happy.

Exactly .. totally agree. Basic standards are a necessity to producing a quality product. But the old she'll be right attitude still prevails at Trackside. I heard Cameron Rodger stating their job was to bring a more professional and top class product to the NZ racing scene

Don't wear a dark suit when on screen, or wash your hair with some Head and Shoulders shampoo. I thought they would have people employed to make sure presenters are presentable

No email, but got $20 goodwill bonus. I sent email on Sunday asking for a reply and explanation why my winning bet was not honored and I only got my stake back. Emailed again today, but no reply, pretty crap customer service .. probably because they don't have an explanation

Yep I sent an email as well about what bets I believe were recieved because my balance reduced accordingly. After my horse came in all I got back was my stake, not the winning dividend. They haven't even sent out any sort of communication to its customers. This Rodger guy at Entain has not impressed me at all, doesn't seem to have much energy or enthusiasm .. looks to me to be going through the paces which doesn't inspire.

Agree .. other drivers have woken up to his intent to lead at all costs and then dictate from the front. He has murdered some drives by burning hard and having then to sit parked or parked 3 wide

Then why don't they advertise that as an improvement ?? .. if I knew that I could listen to races 24/7 like the old days on Pacific if no access to the TV or internet

You hit the nail on the head. On one hand you have the T.A.B spouting responsible gambling blurb and know your limits etc. Then on the other hand they are promoting and dedicating this BGP rubbish and parading huge betting plunges. They are basically run of the mill punters out of control. Very few win, but the TAB always win.

Greyhound racing is walking the plank Alan. They do nothing to try and improve things, it's all over the place, no leadership, and lots of owners and trainers are probably ready to throw on the towel. Plenty have over the years with all the Hi Jinx going on unpunished. While I'm at it .. what the hell is the most boring commentator around Rosanowski calling races at Invercargill today ??

That's the craziest suggestion ever. The trouble with racing and everything in life these days is governed by so much bloody Red tape. The first thing they do before a bloody race day is go searching for reasons not to race, instead of getting on and making it the best possible race day you can.

Your missing the point, we don't pretend to be expert tipsters. The Whale is a pretender, has no right being touted as an expert tipster on Trackside, because he's not, he is terrible so what value does he add on Trackside ??? ... nothing !

Yep .. the TAB shouldn't really be highlighting this sort of thing in my opinion, definitely a promotional gimmick promoting huge betting. Remember Steel Balls, they highlighted him as a promotional tool making it look as though anyone can beat the TAB, now we all know that is BS. And look what happened to Steel Balls, a real quick fall from grace.
