Mick , You are the "Editor " for gods sake. Look at the coverage in the Weekend Supplement.................. PATHETIC.
You were probably in such a hurry to get to the Koru Club Lounge that you forgot to proof read the coverage for one of the biggest days of the year.
You twat.
O'h and your picks for Riccarton were so bad I think you were just trying to give us the swerve,

Garrick Knight @GarrickRKnight 21h21 hours ago More Hearing Greyhound Racing NZ CEO Mauro Barsi has been appointed as the new CEO at @AlexandraPark and the Auckland TC. He’s also the Greyhound rep on the (soon-to-be-disbanded ?) NZ Racing Board. Top appointment but walking in to a volatile situation.

1 NZ (Define period)
2 Check with RIU
3 1 Clear day
4 Not one of the horses I have treated has raced at Manawatu Harness Meetings.
5 Have no idea
All my replies are disappointing to most people that hate successful trainers.
I reiterate that it is only the Serum extracted from the blood that is put back into the same horse it came from, hence it is impossible to be swabbed positive.
If you live in Christchurch or near you are more than welcome to visit the Lab in Yaldhurst we have nothing to hide from Jack Sprat or anyone else.
I'm good Tim might be better after the Jewels

We do have challenges in the Northern NI with a small pool of horses and inevitably fields may have a wide rating band. As an owner I would like to see the Northern clubs be a bit more inventive with conditions to mix things up. For example, if this same field of trotters was starting from a mobile with the draw based on money earned from the last 5 starts instead of ratings, the recent novice winner would still get the worst draw but the next would be an R44 horse and an R51 would be drawn 3. As it is, with 8 unruly horses (which includes the high rated novice) it is likely that by putting the rest off the front, there will be a better chance of a clean fair start for all.

Whole lot more money in showjumpers and daughter leeshelle is very promising. I guess he's enjoying having only Aria to answer to rather than 100 owners.

Iraklis--you go on about this product being natural but so too are the red blood cells and it is illegal to inject these. It is not natural to separate the red cells from the rest of the blood and then use ultra violet light to enhance whats left.I'm not saying i'm against its use but this program was clearly biased and really just an advertisement for its use.Why is it banned in other countries if its so natural?

Hunter the punter reacted to john legend in box seat ,debate on blood spinning
If some of our so caled top expert commentators on our great industry would like to send me say a quantity of their blood I could spin it in my washing machine (central part where powder goes, can set infinity spin ) and return it with plasma ,white cells removed and give them enhanced oxygen fixed red blood platelets. and we can wait for enhanced intelligent decisions !!!. Just a thought......

The fact that both John and Blair are still supported by pretty much the same clientele now as they were prior to all the drama speaks much louder to their reputations than the hugely expensive, over-hyped, drawn out and largely fruitless enquiry that kick started all the drama in the first place!
Anyone who has been around this industry for any length of time knows that everyone has bent a rule or two at some point. But it's a long bow to draw to spin the odd minor indiscretion into race fixing. Unless of course you have a hugely expensive, over-hyped, drawn out and largely fruitless enquiry to try and justify.
Random conversations where you're gathering "competitive intelligence" does not constitute race fixing. Telling a mate that you think you can win race 3 does not constitute race fixing. Making a snap decision in a race that with the benefit of hindsight was wrong does not constitute race fixing. Asking a rival driver pre-race if they intend to hold the lead does not constitute race fixing. John Dunn deserves to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame simply for his driving tactics. He's virtually the only driver in NZ that's fearless no matter how many of the All Stars team up against him!

Was inaugurated into the hall of fame friday at Auckland.well deserved.
It is fair to say the industry is behind Blair and John in troubled times.1 and 2 in premiership so has the support of trainers owners.
Looks that way

Hunter the punter reacted to We're Doomed in Is this how a rating system should work?
Any system that has any winning horse rated lower than a maiden is crazy. A winner should not be able to drop back to a lower rating than the highest rating possible for a maiden.
-
Hunter the punter reacted to JackSprat in Is this how a rating system should work?
My criticism was of the overall logic (or lack thereof) behind the current upgrade/downgrade system, rather than how the handicappers are implementing it.
For a ratings system to work it needs to progress the better horses through the grades, and "tweak" the ratings of the rest. Not send 10 wins horses back to the maidens.
The current system is designed to drive the vast majority of horses down the grades. That simply compounds the shortcomings of the previous system.

Perhaps Amateurs could get 2 races - 1 at beginning 1 at end with a JD"s amidships. All penalty free and maybe also stipes free

The start of the 3yo trot will be interesting with the hotshots in the back row and the two hotshots behind maidens.
Great to see a full field of top trotters in the Anzac Cup.

Nobody there to use them pity harness cant get 15 meetings a year therefrom November through to February little travel and plenty of horses trying to get away from Auckland?$6000 stakes for half points sure there's plenty of support for that concept?

Hunter the punter reacted to Iraklis in Holiday Racing costs and a day at a top Stable
I know where you're comin from Newmarket, I read it on theAllStars site it's very interesting, and informative, and nice to have a snapshot of a day in the life of the mighty AllStars, brings things into perspective alot; racenight/day is just icing on the cake, but to get an idea of what goes on behind the scenes in prep for those races days an nights is bloody awesome.....GOOOOO!!!!! THE MIGHTY ALLSTARS FOR FRI night!!!!!
Now, Thrillsnspills knock it off! you been listenin to the wrong people clearly! there's no need for that in here, you owe Newmarket an apology! yep, you do! the article was in no way a slur on anyone else in the industry and if you took the time to read it properly you would've understood that! thought you had more nouse than that grrrrrrrrrr.....I would suggest, you provide proof of the claims you have made in your post above 'horses that are not fast enough or are broken down by the ALLSTARS stable that end up at the butchers shop' put up, or shut up, and or withdraw it!
Cheers Iraklis

It's not just driving it's about training for stable work track driving etc.not necessarily for the young aspiring drivers.it would help employers if they can access at least partly trained staff.
