  1. Aaron White has selected True Believer at Cambridge as his value bet $11 .. that's what the average 2ew punter loves
  2. Must have really studied this one as best bet today Manhattan paying a whopping $1.45 .. I would never been able to find that. Seriously though what does that sort of information/selection provide the average punter ?
  3. Don't you just love good news stories like this one, 6 years old and still competitive, actually winning 2 starts ago. Obviously still loves going to the races and is well looked after by trainer .. just awesome.
  4. David Butt said " he doesn't believe there are many people cheating out there " .. so he is also saying that there are some out there cheating .. question is how many ? .. we already know of those that have been caught, but how many haven't been caught ?
  5. Agree, let's get rid. I note the defenders of the numerous others being caught for varying offenses staying quiet on this one. No ... "yeh but his or her life has not been good" or other reasons etc. Probably because it is becoming very apparent it is everywhere.
  6. The thing is the majority of day to day punters are not interested in odds on favorites, to attract viewers create some interest by throwing out a decent piece of bait occasionally.
  7. Lols they do when their tips are crap, I see none of them won
  8. Mmmm ... but having a bet is being involved, and it's a bloody rort
  9. Once again the Whale goes outside the square at Winton...NOT.. Captain Finns 2.1, R K Finn 3.1, and Pay Me Speedy 2.0. Same old boring picks that the whole country are picking anyway.
  10. Totally agree, the old Boys club syndrome and Simon is part of it, he shouldn't even be commenting, it is not on. I remember Sam Spratt getting a suspension for something far less than that. Our Industry us so so inconsistent with the way they operate.
  11. Next thing we will have to ban any sports where humans get hurt or worse, Cricket will be banned asap. I hate seeing any animal hurt, or any type of cruelty, and it's a very small percentage that ruin it for others. But we all know greyhounds love running, and we aren't riding them with whips either.
  12. Even though Trackside has now become very predictable and boring, Emily Bosson did a fine job with her interviews. Excellent questions, great with her praise, no repeat questions, and kept the interviews at a reasonable length so very respectful.
  13. The heading of this thread " What about Blair " .. throw the book at him. The industry is becoming a joke
  14. Trying to listen to Tony Lee and Bevan Sweeney when they are previewing is hopeless and annoying at times. Why do thet persist letting Andre Neill or whoever it is blasting through the speakers, and is Sweeney sitting right under the bloody speaker ? .. not much thought or planning by anyone.
  15. If it had Mouth Ulcers what the hell was it doing racing ?
  16. Just like this forums attendance Jimbob, everyone is giving up on greyhound racing, including the stipes. I feel for the true enthusiasts who try hard but are on a hiding to nothing because everything is swept under the carpet and those few that have a grip on everything including the purse strings have created monopolies, there is no such thing as a level playing field. I don't bet at all at Wanganui or Palmy anymore, it's a lottery and those involved that have any influence know it. Even the race previews and commentaries are so boring, very very vanilla. Suits those in the know, but does absolutely nothing to attract new people to the sport .. what chance do they have ?? ..
  17. I don't get it either Puha, I hope someone can explain .. because it does appear as though it's made up as they go along much of the time.
  18. Another abandonment
  19. Was driving home from work yesterday listening to trackside and a race from Invercargill had at least 3 false starts. The last one half the drivers weren't even in their carts when the starter let them go according to commentator. I switched off after that, harness racing in the south is becoming a joke.
  20. Disagree, you are forgetting the one very important element who don't get a chance to withdraw their bets .. the punter of course. The shambles which it truly was may have affected a number of horses performance, so in the interest of all it should have been abandoned. Poor commentator didn't know what was going on either. Haven't quite seen such a circus affair to that extent for sometime, it didn't look real.
  21. Good luck, that was good win on Sunday after being a bit slow. Good buy for someone
  22. That's not unusual Gruff, that's what the culture is like in NZ. I asked TV1 news why they don't bother to have our best ever golfer in the news, there answer was thanks for the feedback. They saturate us with all forms of rugby, ABs, womens rugby, club rugby, junior rugby, provincial rugby. What a boring sport platform in this country. To my surprise TV3 covered Lydia, and English Soccer. Lydia is going great, hoping her final round is a peach tomorrow. Incidentally no comments for the NZ dogs today, aussie dogs had comments. Bloody hopeless !!
  23. Another poor effort with the N/A in the comments section for NZ dogs today. Makes me wonder why I bother anymore with all the crap that goes on these days .....sigh !!!
  24. That's what happens in a monopoly, not many can compete, and when the monopoly falters there is not much left. NZGR chooses to ignore the well being and promotion of the sport and just plod along
