Did I read this correctly that they aren't even testing the concentration so they cant tell if some one did actually give a horse or dog p intentially
or just some staff member or contaminated box and the sensitive test picked it up?
I don't believe anyone would give a horse/dog p its not going to make it run faster its not a performance enhancer.
So a lot of innocent trainers are getting tarred with being a cheat when it really is something they no control over

I agree with you on drug testing and not enough tie ups.
However I struggle to believe that 2 boxes were urinated in by the same person who was smoking p on course....
There is a toilet block very close by these boxes even it was a staff member who had been sneaking off for a wee...
I dont what the answer is and not blaming Allan's staff either so sorry didnt mean to offend you
cant allan just say he put the horses out in the paddock with some cattle the night before the race?
    that defense works for some!

Might help if theu mow the grass a bit as well. Was over the ankles of the people that walked the track afterwards. Could have taken a good 3 inches off it with the rain that was expected during the day

Bizarre...no mention of ulcers in stipes report on the day turns out it hung because of  leg injury.
so who was the mug that put ulcers in the form comment and where did he get the information??

Raced horses even before the days of irrigation Winx and when summer tracks were rated hard and fast and there were certainly no more broken down horses then than there are now.

Must of been a long time ago....
horses these days are not bred the same and also rules regarding drug use are obviously very different.
ridiculous comparing horses donkeys years ago to the ones running around now

Please name the instances instead of generalising to back up your assertions.  Remember stipes ask jockeys for their opinions as to the state of the track and go by what they say. So you have 3 parties the track managers ,stipes and jockeys deciding on the state of the track,
Track managers advise at 7 am. Jockeys and stipes after the 1st race at 11am
You quote 18 mls overnight which may have fallen in the hour prior to 7am not necessarily the night before ,readings at 7 am may have read a 8 or 9  and the extra 1.5mls could push into the 10 category.

    Its not rocket science whyisit.
Metservice provides rain radar and rainfall figures for hawera.the bulk of the rain fell before midnight.
Between 7 and 8am they 1.2ml. After 18 mls 1.2 is hardly going to be the difference between a slow 9 and heavy track.
I note there was a late scratching and other owners would have wasted there money thinking they are going to run on a slow track.
when in fact it was always heavy.its a tactic so there are not huge numbers of scratching's and its a joke and embarrassing to nzracing.
look at these times and give me a explanation ?
    hawera

    1200 1.17
    1600  1.46
    2100  2.27

now compare those times with the heavy 11 at awapuni on the 31st july

    1600m  1.41
    1200   1.15
    2100  2.22

if the track was borederline slow then why were they running several seconds quicker on a heavy 11 at awapuni?
    someone got a explanation

Do they think owners are happy to pay 3k a month and not race?
Maybe someone can correct me but I understand this thinking is from Tim Aldridge.
if that's the case why aren't trainers kicking up a  stink and trying to get rid of him?
Where are the facts to back up reducing CD racing to that extent?

Hasn't gallops been subsidising the dogs and trots because of how poorly the racing act was in 2003?
I get the feeling RITA are happy to see 100 horses miss out on racing instead of putting on another meeting and having to pay out more stake money
