I hate it when presenters or commentators talk about nearly every horse in the race and then after the race someone else says great tipping you mentioned that one in the prelims. 🤣

People are the key Palliser - always have been and always will be.
We most likely agree that the racing industry has seen Boards and CEO's who have had more passion for their own egos versus the racing body they represented.
However any business - be it a private enterprise, not-for-profit or a state funded agency - they eeds a thing called income. Aka money.  
Racing's income until 2029 has been guaranteed by Entain - how many businesses get a 5 year opportunity to put their house in order?
How NZTR, HRNZ and GRNZ appoint both their governing body as well as their key executives, lies with these code bodies. People.
Entain most likely cross their fingers and hope each code delivers highly competent and racing passionate people, that they can do business with.
 

Why do you think Money is the answer or catalyst for NZ racing to sort their act out. It's about people and I can honestly say I have seen no one that inspires me.

I get your point, but you say all business needs income and I fully agree, but that's the problem. This industry doesn't and never has generated income, it's continually relied on someone or something to dig them out of the crap and buy them some more time to do nothing about it. Why ? .. because your biggest resource being quality people has never emerged, momentum is non existent and when the money runs out and it will, well before the 5 years we will be in a bigger hole.
Unless you get some quality people across the Country. Just look at Ellerslie as one example.

I’d love to see where all their money goes.  They get tens of thousands of people attending and the tickets are quite expensive from memory.  They also get revenue from probably around 500 vendors or so.  They should be swimming in cash .

I thought he was very good,  No magic men, no dressed up with nowhere to go, just called it as he saw it. And didn't try to mention that stupid passing lane name 6 times.

Yep agree, I don't mind a bet on the dogs but that is fnnn ridiculous, wtf are Trackside thinking. And having to watch and listen to Rosanowski and Stothart makes me want to smash the T.V. I turned off and watched the Phoenix win, only race I ended up watching was Merlin winning.

On supposedly a major night for Harness Racing fu.....n greyhounds and their promotion teams Stothard,Rosanoski  and Morris have taken over. Well how do the Harness fans fight back. Simple don't bet on dogs thereby your not supporting the budgets.
 Will be sky sport rugby for me tonight and I'll watch the Harness on Hrnz later on. Sad state of affairs for horse lovers!

Tom is the son of Peter and Anne Bagrie , Peter sadly passed very recently. Dexter is the son of Robert and Rosie Dunn. Rosie and Peter were brother and sister. Rosie's sister married Henderson Hunter. Cup winners all around. So yes Janitor you are correct they are related. Lol I'm not an expert on family trees and definetly not an expert on selecting winners especially when Dexter's brother jumps on a different horse from his father's and his wife's stable runner and "I must have the front 🍊"  jumps on there runner leaving John to drive the winner. Don't ask me Janitor what's going on. Families in Harness Racing quite involved 😆 🤣 😂
