What are you complaining about there were still winners to back , every race had a winner , the jocks got paid and the trainers either went home with money in the bag  or a great excuse for failure so the fact is every one went home happy and of course the condition of the track and the weather for cast were known to all before scratching time in the morning so let's just get on with it and be happy .

It's your day Gruff , get out your pencil and get righting and make a submission .
Internal Affairs Minister Brooke van Velden said the government had committed to the expanded scope as part of the National Party's coalition agreements with both ACT and New Zealand First and wanted the public to have its say. "The current terms of reference were decided by the same government responsible for the Covid-19 response and they place significant limits on what the inquiry can consider," she said.  "New Zealanders deserve a frank assessment of what occurred and how we can learn from it."
The Royal Commission of Inquiry into the pandemic response last year delayed hearing public submissions until 2024 while the National-led coalition government reviewed its scope. Public consultation will begin this month on expanding the inquiry's scope to include:
Use of multiple lockdowns Vaccine procurement and efficacy The social and economic impacts on both regional and national levels Whether the decisions made, and steps taken, were justified The cost-effectiveness of the government's policies, and whether the rules set by the government appropriately balanced Covid-19 elimination with other goals The government's utilisation of partnerships with business and professional groups The extent of disruption to New Zealanders' health, education, and business as a result of the government's policies If the government's response was consistent with the rule of law How New Zealand's pandemic preparedness compared to other countries The Royal Commission will shortly announce details on how people can have their say on the consultation and share their experiences of the pandemic.

Here ya go Gruff , this will put a smile on your face .
“We cannot and will not allow illegal and dangerous activities to continue,” Trudeau said of the group of truckers, who became known as “the Freedom Convoy.”
It turns out, however, that it was not truckers who were behaving illegally. It was Trudeau.
On Tuesday, a Canadian court rebuked the prime minister for invoking emergency powers in response to the protests, ruling that the action “was not justified in relation to the relevant factual and legal constraints that were required to be taken into consideration.”
By invoking these sweeping emergency powers to crack down on a civil protest, Trudeau was behaving more like the head of a state such as Iran, North Korea, or China than a liberal, constitutional democracy. (Perhaps this shouldn’t surprise us, considering that Trudeau has in the past expressed envy over the unfettered power of dictators.)

Stupidity captures my attention , this guy Barry seems to have trusted Winston and fell into that trap , he helped himself to information and then according to what's written tried for 4 days to get in touch with Winstons  , Winne didn't answer the phone no surprise there ,  today I still see Drs wearing face masks and recommending the jab , I was in A&E last week visiting a friend all the nurses and Drs were wearing masks , they seem to think the jab and masks are great .

A terrible situation but Israel has no choice it must defend itself and  annihilate Hamas to prevent the Oct 7 massacre ever happening again .
The attempt by South Africa to convict Israel of genocide in  the International Court of Justice in The Hague is absurd and here's an abstract from the Israelis defense , Quote Israeli leaders defend their air and ground offensive in Gaza as a legitimate response to Hamas' October 7 attack, when militants stormed through Israeli communities, killing some 1200 people and taking around 250 hostages. , Israel focused on the brutality of the October 7 attacks, presenting chilling video and audio to a hushed audience. “They tortured children in front of parents and parents in front of children, burned people, including infants alive, and systematically raped and mutilated scores of women, men and children,” Becker said.
So the anti Israel protesters around the world choose to ignore what started this round of warfare and they will  be emboldening Hamas and prolonging the war with there protests. Hamas has  proven one thing  it doesn't care about the Palestinians , Hamas must have known the Oct 7 slaughter would have serious consequences  , Hamas treats the Palestinians  like cannon fodder , human shields sacrificial lambs so shouldn't the protesters be chanting ,  Hamas surrender SAVE the Palestinians .

And you can't just attack a country , demolish it's  boarder and massacre , rape , burn alive 1200 civilians at a music festival , Hamas must have known there would be serious consequences for this but they don't care , to them Palestinians are just sacrificial lambs  .
The solution step 1 destroy hamas then it's time for protesters to get real and be useful  and demand a two state agreement , the Jews have been at this location since time began , this history was recognized in 1948 when  the state of  Israil was created .

UN agency , Corruption , crime and  donated money bank  rolling hamas and  terror.
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has released the following statement in response to reports that United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) employees were complicit in Hamas’ October 7th attacks in Israel that left more than 1,200 people dead and resulted in more than 240 people taken hostage.“I am appalled–but unfortunately not surprised–that UNRWA employees were involved in Hamas’ October 7th massacre. For years there has been extensive evidence that UNRWA is not a neutral arbiter, and that their anti-Israel bias is widespread and systemic .
“I strongly support the decision to once again suspend U.S. funding. Any UNRWA employee found to be involved in acts of terrorism or violence must be terminated from any current or future UN employment and held accountable under the law. A full accounting of UNRWA’s complicity in the October 7th attack, as with all instances of terrorism, is urgently .
Who is funding UNRWA?     5 hours ago   Most of the funding for UNRWA comes from “voluntary contributions” from U.N. member states, with a small portion of its financing coming from the U.N.'s regular budget. The agency's largest donors in 2022 were the United States, Germany, the European Union, Sweden, Norway and Japan.

A little extra , you might or might not accept the bible but look at the 3500 years that's a very long time the Jews have been in Israel  , how's that for indigenous  ??
Who originally owns Israel?     For 3500 years the land of Israel has belonged to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed forever by an everlasting and eternal blood covenant recorded in the Bible. Israel is the only nation on earth created by a sovereign act of God (Genesis 12:1-3; 13:16, 15:5, 17:7-8, 22:17-18).31 May 2020

Have a look at the last at Ellerslie today , luckily it was the last if not the meeting would have been abandoned , the 2nd horse a couple of hundred out clearly slips and looses it's footing , luckily it was able to regain it's footing and run 2nd . The bottom line is you can't control the weather and type of track you have doesn't seem to mater , when it rains it rains which is beyond human control .

He's back on track , a good win yesterday aided by the justice department with all the frivolous prosecutions , we all know the lefty's   are using the justice system to try to destroy him , it's not working and his court appearances are great reminders to voters that he is being politically targeted by the justice department and the latest ,
Donald Trump's defamation trial starts as judge denies one-day adjournment for him to attend a funeral,  his mother in law died , this will be seen as  more persecution and given the victory he had yesterday voters don't like what the justice department is doing to Trump at all .

Crusty , I  don't mind Haley but the way Biden has performed  has emboldened  Russia, China, North Korea and Iran with his weakness this  makes me think Trumps unpredictability and strength is much needed at the moment , when Biden leaves office he will have left the world  very dangerous state . Classic example the houti rebels were left unchallenged for a couple of months  before finally being challenged , in much of the world that hesitation is taken for weakness .

    Dear Follower, ex Email
Things are heating up and it looks like we might just get the conversation about the Treaty that we have been asking for. But if you think that the activists with their extremist interpretations of the Treaty are going to play fair, think again.
We must step up and stand strong. There is no other option. Defending democracy and true equality under the law for all Kiwis is simply too important.
I'll be honest with you, after the huge push we did for the election, we had a long, hard look at what the future of Hobson's Pledge might look like. But seeing the viciousness of the opposition and frankly the disingenuousness of the media, we concluded we have no option but to keep going.
In fact, we need to kick up a gear. This is a pivotal moment in our nation's history and we either seize it or accept a future of separatism and disunity.
You will have seen how effective we can be throughout the election period, but that will all be for nothing if the separatists and their friends in the media can browbeat Christopher Luxon. He needs your support. Hobson's Pledge cannot do this alone.
    >>> Will you chip in to our Fight For Equality Fund to ensure that we can help the Government dismantle race-based policies and keep the pressure on the one-sided media? <<<
Over the weekend the Māori king hosted an event that was dubbed the National Hui for Unity.
Before I go on, it is important to note that the Māori King is not recognised by all iwi and so his title is somewhat inaccurate. Large iwi like Tuhoe, Ngāti Porou, and Ngāpuhi have historically rejected the Kiingitanga movement. And of course most New Zealanders don’t recognise him as king at all.
Thousands of people attended the event, including Minister for Māori Development Tama Potaka and fellow National MP Dan Bidois. Leader of the Opposition Chris Hipkins attended also.
However, New Zealand First gave the event a miss with Minister Shane Jones predicting it would be a "moan session".
The whole point of the meeting was an attempt to unify Māori activists in asserting that Māori never ceded sovereignty to the British Crown. This is a radical and dangerous rewriting of history. It is a far cry from what was said at the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi and what prominent thought leaders like Sir Apirana Ngata have written over the years.
Even before the gathering commenced media were engaging in a misinformation campaign that appears designed to whip up opposition to the government. TV One, our state broadcaster, described the proposed Treaty Principles Bill as a "rewrite" of the Treaty. This is a complete lie and has never been proposed.
Inflammatory statements calling the government and its leaders "white supremacists" were also blatant lies and designed to create more division. Unity was supposed to be the theme of the day but it was evident that the only unity hui leaders were interested in was between those organising against those New Zealanders seeking true political equality. A definite 'us versus them' dynamic was present.
We must reject this drive to split New Zealand even further by race and we cannot allow ahistorical rewrites of the Treaty to become entrenched. As we should have learned by now, when these things are embedded it is very difficult to undo them.
    It is now or never.
We either fight for an equal and unified New Zealand now or watch this beautiful country continue to slide into a race-based caste system. Can we count on you to stand with us?
Don't be fooled by the Māori King Tuheitia's rhetoric about unity.
Remember that this is the man who said:
"We have always owned the water!... In the eyes of our people, Pakeha law was set up to minimise our mana and maximise their own."
These are not the words of a man who respects the law of the land. He has already won the battle for the Waikato River and would like to see all water under Māori ownership.
Can you see the precarious position New Zealand is in? We are on the precipice and it could go either way. Our Fight For Equality Fund will determine how aggressively we can fight racial separatism.
    >>> Will you contribute so we can make more New Zealanders aware of what is going on and equip them with the means to speak up? <<<
I'm not someone who likes to overstate things so please hear me when I say that 2024 may be one of the most significant years in our history when it comes to democracy and who we are as a nation.
The past few decades of activism and constant chipping away at our democratic principles are culminating in a big, organised push for co-governance, separatism, and Māori ownership of natural resources.
Let me be clear, what we stand for is plain and simple: equality. Only then can New Zealand look forward to more prosperity for both Māori and non-Māori.
Do you share our belief that equality and democracy must be fought for and defended? With your support we can grow our Fight For Equality Fund and put up the fight of our lives for these precious values.
We owe it to our children and grandchildren to ensure that the battle for our democracy is won.
    The time is now.
    Thank you for your support,

The posts raised questions about whether Ghahraman had misled the public into believing that she had prosecuted those responsible for genocide in Rwanda, when she had in fact been part of defense teams. She said that she worked as an unpaid intern as part of a team that defended Joseph Nzirorera, who died before he could be convicted of genocide, and in a paid position as part of a team representing pop singer Simon Bikindi, who was convicted for incitement to genocide.
