    P4P is quite correct.
I trained for the Archer Corporation for several years,  incl some members of the great mare's family.  [ Jan Hay trained her dam Songline ]
It is exactly as he states.

After watching the video it appeared mark purdon did not use his horses early gate speed to allow amazing dream to get the early lead, however that did not eventuate. So I don't think amazing dream was driving for sweet on me.
Sweet on me won that race very easily in the end ,so I think using  the whip was a bit pointless

Thanks Rex glad you had a good time and the resort was good. They are really trying to upgrade it to a higher level...we will be giving another trip away this spring too...so maybe you can get to return...

I would like to thank Leigh, and the sponsors, of the trip to Fiji. The whole trip was amazing. The resort is very peaceful and relaxing. We had a deluxe seaside Bure with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff at the resort and very friendly and will do anything for you.The whole atmosphere at the resort is to relax and chill. They have activities to do if you want to.It was great being there when the  Honk Hong sevens were on as they were showing them in the bar area.I sat with the locals when the qualifying games were on.On the  next day when the quarter finals were on ,I had a call in my room to tell me they were about to start. They even had a seat saved for me right in front of the tv.They were very vocal when Fiji won.The food was very nice also.I can honestly recommend Crusoes Resort as a very nice place to stay.Leigh had everything organised very well. If anyone wants to know any thing more about the resort, just pm me and I will try and help. Thanks again Leigh for the awesome prize.

I watched this race and the best horse won. Natalie Rasmussen's drive Amazing Dream raced keenly in the parked out position for much of the race. She gave the horse a whack at the 300m and as you say it kept on trucking but I don't think it would have beaten Sweet On Me. Ms Rasmussen has been fined and suspended for overuse of the whip on a number of occasions so perhaps she is trying a new driving style?
Sweet On Me looks good and that is no surprise considering its breeding. She must be one of the most valuable fillies in harness racing. I would be surprise if she doesn't win all of the main two-year-old events she contests this season.

Yeah Blue in Race 5 by the sound, but  after more persistent rain Dylan decided the track condition had improved enough for Race 7 to stay closer to the markers.

Appreciate your response John.I was hoping somebody would of spotted the major issue here, Dylan says one thing in response to his questioning regarding giving the eventual stable runner the winning run and then goes out after more persistent rain two races later and does the very opposite? If he drives the same way the horse on his back wins for fun, how the stipes didn’t pick this up is laughable.

Very wise move given the recent death of Redoutes Choice. Bad timing for Chris Waller losing 2 superstars in one week to the retirement paddock

Shows how little you know about Race Club Administration. The Club Board lays down the Strategy and the CEO executes it. ARC could teach a few other Clubs a lesson or two, despite a few hiccups along the way. Hardly fair to point the finger at Mr George! Your “anti-Aussie” sentiment says it all. It’s a pity NZ Racing isn’t anywhere near the shape that Aust Racing is. Roll on The Championships!

The Stewards report suggests otherwise as they were satisfied after talking to him that he gave the horse every chance.
ENHANCE YOUR CALM - Stewards spoke with driver M Purdon as to whether he could have displayed more vigour in the early stages of the run home to establish a bigger advantage over the trailing runners. Mr Purdon explained that his gelding had travelled well throughout however did not respond as anticipated when he released the deafeners near the 200 metres. He added it was the gelding's first attempt over 2600 metres and that combined with the track conditions may have contributed to its inability to quicken when asked for an effort.
Unlike his training partner Mark Purdon has never been an aggressive driver in terms of whip  or rein use which is to his credit and his record suggests he gets the best out of his charges. I suppose its ironic that winning driver  Bob Butt got a 5 day holiday  and $500 fine for excessive use
Its the same anti AS nutters who bag the likes of MP and NR  when they win or lose. In that respect I must congratulate those who currently post on here and to the owner for the civilized behaviour and respect that's shown by contributors and moderators alike to others posts.

Your idea, very sound as it is ,  is one that has been mooted on here many times but it falls on deaf ears on most occasions with the powers at be. Not sure centralising it with breeders having a say is a good model after watching what they have done to gallops but am never afraid to be proven wrong.

Fair enough. I saw it differently and having ridden and driven a few i know how they can pull themselves up in bad going  but go again should another horse come along side.
