  1. What are you talking about? I’m the spitting image of Daniel Vettori. Here’s a shot of me running in the Run4Kids 2 weeks ago in my first competitive run back in a while (12.8km in 59:17)
  2. Nice. We’re off fishing down at St Andrews beach next month. Have hired a beautiful house right on the beach (don’t think we’ll be catching anything as big as that though!)
  3. What kind of fish is that?
  4. Pretty good seafood here. Janet was after some Moreton Bay bugs. Best creme brûlée in Melbourne too!
  5. Too right Ernie! Richmond Oysters. Just down the road from my work (the old Bryant & May building).
  6. Janet said this Leigh and I have repeated verbatim what she told me yesterday. What part of that do you not understand? This grief is clearly affecting you which is very sad to see.
  7. Now you’re just being a dickhead Baz I’m actually happily married to my beautiful wife and we just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. P.S. Being a dickhead is not funny or cool as you are insinuating by your post that you’re a homophobe or that you have a problem with homosexuals which is not cool.
  8. No Baz, Leigh manipulated the thread title and has omitted and edited quite a few of my postings on this thread.
  9. I was at the Lime bar in Ponsonby once many years ago and there were a few Black Caps there including Lou Vincent, Darryl Tuffy and Chris Cairns. This woman came up to me saying how are you going Daniel then Lou Vincent chimed in saying Daniel’s having a better night now that you’re here. She thought I was Daniel Vettori ha ha and the Black Caps were playing along. She was plastered so was easily convinced I was him. We all had a good laugh about it and ended up being a fun night.
  10. Are you for real? I’m speechless. No porkies from me Leigh and anyone who is educated can see that. I quoted Janet Fisher verbatim what she told me yesterday regarding being offered a share in Sunline by Trevor. I assumed wrongly that Janet was Woolf Fisher’s daughter and I have subsequently confirmed after speaking with my uncle in Sydney tonight (who is best friends with Janet’s sister Sue) that Janet was infact Woolf’s niece. No lies there Leigh, just an incorrect assumption which I have admitted I got wrong. You need to look up the definition of lie as you clearly don’t understand the meaning.
  11. After the epic thread today I thought I’d lighten the mood up a bit and tell you of a personal experience I had many years ago when I used to live in Auckland. My best friend Andrew and I were in Queen Street when we came across the Navy with these free Sky City passes. Sky City had just been built and it was the official opening that night for VIPs only. Andrew and I were given a Sky City lanyard each from a couple of the Navy boys and we went back to his house to get changed as it was a formal event (black tie unbeknown to us). Andrew put his suit on and I borrowed a suit off his father then we trundled back into the city with our Sky City lanyards feeling very excited that we were going to sneak into this event uninvited. Anyway we both took the escalator up to the official entrance and to our dismay we were told that the passes were not valid for the main VIP event that night (the casino was not due to open up to the public until the next day) and we were sent away packing back down the escalators. Feeling very dejected we were walking out back onto the street when we came across the band who would be playing there that night. Anyway we got talking and one of the band members said he would come down the lift to the basement in the carpark and meet us down there to let us in. It was a long shot and anyway we went down to the basement waiting outside the lift not having much hope we would see the band member who had walked in the main entrance up the escalators with his band. Several minutes passed and we were feeling pretty flat staring at the motionless lift then all of a suddden the doors opened and the band member we met outside said jump in! We couldn’t believe it! The excitement returned and we both looked at each other feeling like we had won lotto. The doors opened and EVERYONE was wearing black tie formalwear except us who had our suits and ties on. Ha ha. EVERYONE was a celebrity there EXCEPT US ha ha but we didn’t care. I headed to the bathroom to take a piss and I had the current All Black captain at the time Sean Fitzpatrick on one side of me and double Olympic gold medalist Danyon Loader on the other and they were both thinking he is this person!! Ha ha. I then headed out onto the gaming floor and had a brief chat with the Education minister at the time Lockwood Smith before moving on to Paul Holmes. It was crazy! Andrew and I then spent the rest of the night playing blackjack with Russell, Martin and Jeff Crowe all giving us strange looks in our ties thinking who are these boys! Ha ha. One of the best days of my life and one I’ll never forget.
  12. Whatever Leigh. I NEVER told a lie. I geniunely thought Janet was Woolf’s daughter (she’s my mother’s old school friend not mine). The connection has now been clarified after speaking with my uncle this evening. Enough of the bullying please. I know you’re going through a tough time at the moment but there’s no need for that Leigh.
  13. Here’s a photo just for short stuff of us having lunch with Janet so he can show his racing VIP.
  14. I’m glad we finally got to the bottom of it. After all that I need a beer!
  15. Nothing wrong with a bit of history Baz!
  16. This is Janet’s father Lou here, founder of The Spirit of Adventure and owned the largest aluminium ranch slider and roof tile business in NZ. https://www.spiritofadventure.org.nz/the-trust/our-history http://trauejoinery.co.nz/fisher-aluminium-windows-doors
  17. Janet Fisher’s father had nothing to do with Fisher & Paykel. Turn it up short stuff. That’s a fabrication right there that you’ve twisted to suit your own agenda little man.
  18. It’s just taken another turn Baz. Don’t you just love how short stuff tries to twist the facts to suit his own agenda? I was clearly wrong assuming that Janet was Woolf’s daughter but I knew there was a connection there.
  19. Correct Maria. Janet’s father Lou was Woolf’s brother. A very successful businessman and philanthropist in his own right.
  20. I’m actually quite impressed with your investigation short stuff. I’ve just got off the phone to my uncle Nigel in Sydney and you are indeed correct. Janet’s father is Lou and her mother is Iris. Lou was Woolf’s brother and he owned LJ Fisher which was the biggest ranch slider and roof tile company in NZ (they had a monopoly). Lou also founded the Spirit of Adventure in NZ. I was wrong in assuming she was Woolf’s daughter. She was infact Woolf’s niece.
  21. Who is the highly placed racing VIP short stuff?
  22. Have you been to his house in Riddell Rd Barry? I have, I checked it out many years ago when I was still living in Auckland working as a landscape gardener. It’s spectacular!
  23. Very good Baz. Nice summation
  24. Correct. She can’t walk without being assisted.
