Rules For Some got a reaction from Gary Sharp in Dress Code
Who wants to race greyhounds these days?
Full of cheats and people turning blind eyes to things

They shouldnt breed more then we can rehome.
Every racing dog deserves a life after racing. Problem is theres only so many dogs that can be rehomed so 🤷
Dont want to go back to the 80s and 90s when the cowboys in the industry were shooting their dogs or hitting them with spades. Sick stuff.

Yes it 100% should have been
Father gets 12 months for meth positive and animal abuse
Son gets 18 months.
Be one of the smallest punishments ever at this level.
I think people in grehounds generally are over it all

A left field view maybe, but surely the suspension should have been longer and given the “Clayton’s” outcome with family continuing to train, is the result a non resulted outcome?
Put another way could an outsider say the GH folk or Judiciary aren’t taking the matter seriously?
Somehow I think troubled waters ahead

What was the point of closing this track down for a month again? 3 40+ day standown injuries in 3 meetings plus one more from a fall after the finishing line.
The one yesterday was the worst. The dog was in clear air. Track certainly doesnt appear safer. Cant wait for the media to pick this one up along with the Mcinerney positive case.
Things like this are just driving mpre nails into the coffin. We all know why they didn't shut down longer... the nz cup is in a few weeks

Yep agree, unfortunately the whole industry seems disjointed and no matter what happens they never seem to get it right. I love greyhound racing, but if they can't get the basics right then they only have themselves to blame. Too much deadwood still involved, even some involved in commentating or presenting have been involved with the naughty lot, which means it's rife. Bit like the old boys club.

Rules For Some got a reaction from Keneperu in So both potential PM's say "it's time"......
Failing to admit any faults until a few years ago. Participants still have their head in the sand now. So not surprising

From personal experience injuries have declined however the seriousness of injuries is probably worse. Grass tracks would lead to many more hock and toe injuries

Unfortunately, both parties are looking very incompetent.

That first debate did not put National in good lights with the people I spoke to after. Many seemed concerned with the actual numbers they are putting out.
I can understand not wanting to release modeling but when left and right economists are discrediting this, let alone the legality of taxing foreigners as a large quantity of foreigners buying in NZ would be excluded anyway, concerns must be addressed because right now, it looks as though the National party either arent confident in their policy, dont know the outcomes or know the outcomes and think people will be unhappy with them.

unfortunately, a lot of people think this way when it comes to politics. Any sane man I would hope would be feeling concerned with every party right now. The outlook doesnt look ideal and I dont think any party is in a position to fix anything.
Nationals policies will unfortunately mainly benefit the leading cause of inflation in the country.

Rules For Some got a reaction from Goodison in Chris Luxon
All of these issues baring the inflation have been problems since 2010... National and Labour have both failed to fix them.
As for inflation, neither parties fiscal plan looks like it will change the current trajectory, especially National who cant even explain how they are covering their tax cuts which might I add made inflation worse in most other countries... This sounds like you arguing for a party out of loyalty then actually doing any research into their policies because neither party is resolving any of these.

Neither party is looking great. Labour has had an awful few years... However, the current National selection and policies are about as bad as they come... I'm not left with much faith in either party and I don't see much from the smaller parties either. I certainly do not see any changes after the election this year and honestly see little point voting for any of them as neither party seem beneficial to NZ.

Well what most can't see past their blind hatred is that any NZ Govt is going to struggle to run against a world wide trend , when overseas starts correcting we will follow , has been the rule of thumb for decades so no reason for it to change now , over the last 3 or so years , especially with what everybody has had to deal with . But apparently none of this would have happened under a National Govt .
