  1. There are deaths in all racing. It's never going to completely stop but you can't deny greyhound racing deaths are at a minimal now. 7 dogs last year. Record tracking is so much better now than it was 2 yrs ago as well.
  2. Brood bitches still appear on the GRNZ website when coming into the country. All registered Greyhounds do for racing or breeding purposes.
  3. You are the person who was accusing trainers of lining vet checked dogs up injured? Calling trainers and race day vets incompetent.
  4. Same person accusing trainers of sending dogs out injured. You have no clue
  5. I am talking about Live Baiting here, not feeding horse meat to dogs. Its too lean for my liking but its no worse than beef or kangaroo. A simple search of horse meat for dogs will reveal all to anyone who doesnt believe me. Most trainers in the CD and up North still use horse meat.
  6. It was always a very small marginalised group doing this. Hopefully none are now. Its neither needed or wanted when breaking a dog in. Barbaric practice from days past. Ive never personally understood why people have used live animals on their dogs. And ive had alot of success in days past when i was heavily involved without them.
  7. Dogs chase white fluff around a bull ring? Whats cruel about that. Alot less cruel the countless whipping of a horse to break it in
  8. 7 dogs euthanised in 12 months? 10 horses euthanised in the same period? Thats a strange thing to hate greyhound racing over? More dogs race for less serious injuries now! Not saying the injuries do not exist, because they do in all forms of racing. Greyhounds are just a bit more easily spotted than the thouroubred injuries As for Kurious, hes clearly massively biased. Blind id say
  9. Quite a few in foxton/Levin area all sell 90% horse 10% beef at a discounted price from 100% beef. Most of the trainers i know in the area feed this mix. In terms of tracking of horses from start to finish, record completedness etc. Its not their yet in the thouroubreds where it is in greyhounds. I admittingly dont know about inspections of the housing of horses.
  10. Most meat companies still sell horse meat. Thoroughbreds are a decade behind greyhound racing on welfare unfortunately.
  11. Go to speck savers. They will help.
  12. Are you daft? 4 serious injuries in yesterdays stipe report. 2 dogs slipped on the track. Think you need a tour to the eye dr 1). ZOE STAR (P Heterick) - had a 42 day incapacitation issued due to sustaining a hock injury when attempting to complete a satisfactory trial. Ordered to undergo x-rays within 24 hours to diagnose sprain or fracture with this to be reported back to Stewards. 2). BIG TIM MOSSY (P Heterick) - had a 42 day incapacitation issued due to sustaining a right carpal sprain when filling in for the satisfactory trial. 3). THRILLING SNIPER (7) - referred to the Veterinarian after becoming awkward in its gallop rounding the first bend losing ground with the field where it was reported to have torn right long head tricep with a 42 day incapacitation issued. Must trial prior to resuming. 4). MEG'S MUNCH (5) - referred to the Veterinarian after faltering free of interference rounding the bend before falling to the track where it was reported to have a compound fracture to its left hock, a fractured right tibia and fibula and a fractured right hock. Due to the catastrophic nature of the injuries the greyhound was humanely euthanised
  13. There was 3 dogs who had 42 day stand downs and one dog who was put down after breaking 4 different bones. Sounds like you cant count. Every trainer ive spoken for has been dissapointed with the track so far. Wait until there is 7 or 8 injuries and the antis are all over this again. Embarrassing.
  14. 4x 42 day stand downs? Can you not count?
  15. Very arrogant indeed. The meeting was held up twice yesterday from stipes checking out the track. A good indicator they knew something was up. GRNZ are obviously aware of yesterdays debarcle. They have hidden the race the dog broke down in.
  16. The fact you even made the bottom 2 statements says alot. 1) Why did trainers not scratch there dogs after 5 broken hocks before the track was deemed unsafe? Because they would have every race dog racing that day put out for 28 days as there is no rule in place to accommodate scratchings for this. 99% of trainers couldnt afford something like this happening. 2) Why would I name any trainer and risk them the wrath of the grnz social media policy? If you are such a big noter, why dont you let everyone here know who you are? Or would you also be concerned?
  17. Thats funny because 5 different trainers I have spoken to who were there today have said the opposite And more than 1 trainer had a serious injury today? What a daft statement. Someone take the antis account away from him. No way would a greyhound person be acting like this
  18. Mate you are a Focken dickhead! Anyone at the track would have known before the first race! Why was the meeting even allowed to go ahead? They looked at the track several times as well. The dogs look more awkward on the corner now than before. Especially wide runners. I will no longer be punting or allow any of my dog's race at this track. And we are letting these clowns "Fix" Wanganui as well. 1). 19. what a fucken disgrace! So many injuries today and dogs in clear air. Goodbye greyhound racing with these clowns in charge. That last broken hock, the dog was in clear air. Disgusting! Don't be shocked if today's meeting makes the news!
  20. Pretty sure they have nothing to do with racing and just here to make trainers look like clowns
