Stems from the loser mentality this industry now has. We should be lucky the people in charge nearly sank 3 industries and needed a foreign betting exchange to bail them out for it to happen agai . Go the same route they did in Australia. All 3 codes are flourishing in Australia.the competitive booky market helps. Going to a race meeting over there at any code is always enjoyable. City and country racing. Ive been to a few trots and greyhound meetings in nz over the last year but outside of premier nights, they are all so boring. Clubs seem afraid to spend. Money isnt as good. Financial problems. Seems to me this is nothing but a stop gap for a larger problem here. Anyone with an ounce of tech saviness would tell you they are just trying to frighten people lol

I have accounts with 5 different sites. TAB is behind the ball game in all areas. From racing to sports betting. And the customer service is even worse. My main concern is that if you give them a monopoly on the prices in NZ, they will just get worse. Surely if the TAB is getting privatised, banning other agencies would be against monopoly rules.

Kind of like TAB spending millions on revamping a website that their own financial institutes believed was a waste of money.

You are funny - Off-shore bookies are 100x better than the TAB. Prices are better, deals are better, they treat customers better. If it comes to that, I will just use my VPN going forward because NZ TAB is awful.

The government is also looking at blocking other betting operators in this country to help "minimise" gambling risks LOL. If the TAB offered better money, I wouldn't be using foreign gambling operators in the first place. Bunch of clowns. I will just use a VPN if I have to because the TAB here never offers better odds and giving them a monopoly on odds in the country will mean they will only get worse. Thanks, but no thanks.

Been against the rules for a long time. I see they tidied them up a bit now but essentially no licensed peopl should be gambling on any greyhound race. Also against the rules to online gamble at a meeting. Ridiculous i know but im not the person who writes these rules

Believe its Brendon Cole. But I have heard he's farming and left day to day operations largely to his children. Although whether this is actually true or not is another question all together. Lisa Cole used to be and last I heard still teaches full time.

I know multiple trainers in the CD have refused to take their dogs there to even trial. Last time I heard, even Cole was not trialling there (unsure if he has since). dogs have been doing muscle injuries since it reopened. Not a good look!

they had to replace the rail as it had rusted away. The parts were having to be made because they had no contingency plan in place. they knew about the issue for 6 months and did nothing. Useless is an understatement. Whole club should be removed and replaced. these people are running auckland and waikato into the ground.

Many have tried and given up on the industry because those at the top dont want change. The industry is a poorly run mess at every level. GRNZ do not even have a list of assets they own. Thats how bad this industry is.

With the exception of probably the christchurch clubs, most of the clubs have been run into the ground. I think its time to do away with them imho. Its clear most of the clubs are incompetent

Only affected the Northern trainer. None of which have anything good enough to compete. Cole goes up north and its a stomping ground for him. Northern racing is boring and dead. Auckland cup should honestly just be an addington or canterbury cup down south. Atleast the locals will actually be competitive

Palmy times have been pretty quick for a while now. Dogs today were running 2080, 2090 which is unheard of.

Why did they postpone the auckland cup when the northern trainers have nothing good enough to compete in either race?
