  1. Got some history, tough game in aussie, unless he has a leading stable already behind him, think it will be tough pickings.
  2. Tough day for me,pick wise and bet wise, back to the bottom of the pile under the sheet.
  3. Hezafox 5th at Flemington Dealmaker R8 Randwick with miss Einstein of course, makes a useful multi
  4. Randwick 1 7 2 2 3 3 4 8 5 3 6 10 7 11 8 4 9 10 Flemington 1 4 2 1 3 13 4 3 5 4 6 6 7 11 8 13 9 5
  5. performance, been none, just a bunch of leaders saying I know what you need, my idea will work, I will get this and that, and to hell with any advice. I have got to know more and more about less and less, until I know everything about nothing.
  6. Sums it all up, the pigs in the trough know what's good for you, appears as if conned into a white elephant, it was never that broken in the first place.
  7. Cheers all, have messaged Scooby. Be good if Defiant dancer can place in last, multi with Ocean ex and Super Titus had both to win.
  8. Don't think that is correct, however if so that's fine, my current flip phone will not cut the mustard and it's 3 years old. I admit I'm old school and only want a phone to text and call.
  9. Like this too, am on, 2 wins at the distance, one on the track, 4th start of prep, what could go wrong, cheers
  10. Deloitte have been the external auditor for some time, currently, am not sure, however should they have a name change to dolittle ?
  11. have to agree Mike, but Dave possibly not to worried. As for getting at the suits, I"d rather they be called trough pigs. Just whom has the power to say he or she should go as their performance has not been to the required level? No one it would seem to me. You would need a collective vote of no confidence from, Trainers federation, All owners, All racing clubs, incl harness and dogs. Is that likely to happen, a resounding no. So what can be done to turn a lemon into an orange? Where is the power? Who controls senior management?
  12. I am regular punter, not big for sure, but never ever would consider betting on overseas dogs, or racing from USA. I do not bet anywhere apart from Aussie and NZ Gallops. Harness in NZ on occasions, but rare. Each to his own, but USA and Aussie Dogs?
  13. The Messara report is unpopular, but the useless people running the TAB in past need shooting. That wage bill reads like council staff around the country, loaded with Pigs at the trough.
  14. A positive start, however more overseas racing ? WTF is that about.
  15. Is it time to make the people come to the horses rather than taking the horses to the people. We transport horses a lot at high cost around the country, however we cannot lose feature race meets such as Ellerslie and Trentham. The big days are big for sure, but others just meander along. The public just are not interested, Jackpots on course only could assist.
  16. Indeed, it seemed a valid thought, Close Te Rapa, move out of the city, make people drive to the course rather than float horses. All weather tracks for racing and training, just huge a facility. Harness as well possibly. CJC and Addington could move South, West, or North of the city likewise. thoughts?
  17. And the Riccarton training tracks go where? I'm not against the idea, but Uneasy will be.........uneasy. Rangiora would make a good training venue, but then CJC would lose income from stabling. Remember Takanini ws a great training venue, now full of houses. Riccarton as a training venue offers everything a trainer could want I imagine. Still after 50 years away maybe I'm outa touch
  18. Keep that and you might as well re open Geraldine
  19. All the above courses are good tracks, of interest why is Rangiora no longer raced at ? I rode there as a kid, my boss liked the course too, he always called it a mini wellington with nice banked turns. No irrigation was a problem years ago. Good front runners course to.
  20. R 1 3 6 7 11 R 2 3 4 5 10 R3 4 5 8 10 R4 1 6 8 10 R5 5 10 11 14 R6 3 10 11 13 R7 2 6 8 14 R9 1 2 3 8 R9 1 11 13 14 Best to all, thank you scorer
  21. National questions 'economic management' as tens of thousands join benefit queue What you need to know from Government's mega COVID-19 document dump 53 minutes ago "If you do get a media query on this please provide a written response," it reads. "I would like to sign off and see all written response (sic). Do not put Minister up for any interviews on this." The documents were released at 2pm - after the Government's only press conference of the day. Newshub requested an interview with Health Minister David Clark - it was declined. Photo credit: Supplied The leaked memo provides specific talking points to keep them on message, including: "Perfect would have been the public enemy of the good," and, "Tough calls had to be made and we stand by them." It says due to public buy-in the Government doesn't have to explain its response. "There's no real need to defend. Because the public have confidence in what has been achieved and what the Govt [sic] is doing. Instead we can dismiss." It lists talking points by topic - including one for "Opposition" which points to a press release from National leader Simon Bridges on March 23. "We won't regret moving quickly to stop this virus spreading. We may have regrets if we don't," it attributes to the leader of the Opposition. No it is not very important in the mix of things, people just want to return to living as best as they can, The boss is the boss, you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time. Some media person will not get enought ooomph to drive a fart thru this.
  22. So what do you want? an apology? You could be in Brazil, no controls, life as normal. But 10,000 new cases of the virus today, 8000 plus dead already.
