Time is required with the surface I would say. There is little on the net giving details of other tracks that are Strathayr as to how long they have taken to bed in. It appears some have been done in a different way. Are we expecting to much to soon? Quite possible in my opinion. I suggest another 12 months at least for this surface to be what it is designed for.

Yes they got a win on a dead rubber game. Nice 100 though

One last throw of the dice for the White Ferns, will they make changes?
Personally I get the impression that a lot of the female teams, a lot are too clicky, must be hard for the coach in this situation, a male to make hard decisions and risking a player revolt, almost facing the same challenges as your average school teacher probably has to deal with everyday.
Seems to me that our Cricket psychology is about participating and not being defined solely by results.
Not sure if Riichard Hadlee, Glen Turner, Martin Crowe and the likes thought that way, I think many of our present lot both males and females do.
Mike, Our players apart from 3-4 just don't seem to measure up at all against overseas reps from other countries. How many ramp shots have been played for an out in the past 12 months. To many for my liking. As for equal pay, well until you make something worth attending and supporting it cannot happen.NZ womens cricket has been a joke for the past 12 months, yet ramped up by the media as good.

Yes strange that some folk pay attention to divvies changing 1 point here and there, sure some big punts landed around the courses each week by those in the know etc. I can remember guys watching those big boards as a kid at the races, and thought bugger that it's boring. I did then and still today make my picks and go bet on my selection. Do serious punters follow odds like the TAB suggests? I'm small in betting amounts, and never punt on evens.

Everything for our White Ferns to play for, England are batting first, no reason for lack of motivation.
But lacking skills seems the problem. They have put on weak displays for 12 months now, just where is the talent. We sure could do with some

That last wicket stand is probably a game defining partnership.
The opening stanza by NZ could be as well?

Cant agree with Opie, he just won a Group 1 in Oz and from what I saw yesterday he rode some pearlers...JMO...agree with McNab too.
Opie is great as always, others can have the wrong horse under them from time to time. Scooby 2 months ago you thought Colgan was yesterdays man, but he has roared back. riders cannot carry them.

Well I was shocked when watching that performance, very well done. Can remember a NZ cup won in that fashion in the 1960s. Royal Bid an entire and one Frank Skelton, led by 18 lengths at the 5 furlong point.
