I think you're right Al ... even in the super comp days.. can't remember us clashing swords No time like the first time!
Al, let Maria take a sword, you take a gun, I know you are very consistent. Luck for us this time.

That last wicket stand is probably a game defining partnership.
The opening stanza by NZ could be as well?

Cant agree with Opie, he just won a Group 1 in Oz and from what I saw yesterday he rode some pearlers...JMO...agree with McNab too.
Opie is great as always, others can have the wrong horse under them from time to time. Scooby 2 months ago you thought Colgan was yesterdays man, but he has roared back. riders cannot carry them.

Al Fielding had winner as BB. Well done Al, great recovery for you after what seemed an average day by your standards.

Agree Mike, however the young man served bloody well and chased down a lot of Novaks good shots. I thought he was bloody quick.

Begs the question, why is he back in NZ. Started with a hiss and a roar in aus? Media reported that he was keen to establish himself in aus.

The obvious problem with that is 7 races. We only run 6 races on our big days.
Exactly, only 6 races, and 35 min intervals, how boring for the average person. If one has a passion for horses it's ok, you try and look at them all, get close as you can, while having some announcer screaming through the speaker system. I just feel 6 races is not enough, no doubting the quality of racing on offer, it's as good as we can get.
