Hello LZ. Correct Nature Strip is  a sprinter. It is clear due to the length of races it is entered up in , It was really just an off the cuff comment that if you've gone through 3 trainers and now have it at the champion of Victoria's yard maybe Mr Waller as champion of Sydney might be the other option. I am well aware of the others abilities as  trainers and accord them the greatest respect for being the top of their chosen profession The caps lock , that I've been told by learned friends is  in social media akin to shouting I will fully  accept  on the chin  as a rebuke for not mentioning others. However although I am not employed by Mr Waller, having followed his success I would stick my neck out and say not every horse in his care  has the same training routine everyday .
He possibly employs  different training regimes for the Who  Shot the Barman's or Grand Marshall's  of the yard as compared to the two champion sprinters he trained in Zoustar and Brazen Beau. Both of whom command healthy stud fees.
Having had a good look at Nature Strip's record it appears maybe the owners had hand forced for  first trainer change with the Robert  Smeardon suspension. There  probably are not many horses on forth trainer closing out 3 year old campaign but iam sure if digging is done a few could be found.

Being pretty doesn’t necessarily make for a good Interviewer. First prerequisite would have to be a intimate knowledge of Racing. Think Bruce McIvaney, he has no peers when it comes to sporting knowledge - including Horse Racing. 

Not sure that any horse has ever been horse of the year without actually winning a race for the season.

If you watch the replay you  will see kiwi mare Danzdanzdanz was dead stiff not to win her race...under lock and key the last 200 and full of running.

Winston Peters holds a critical position, both as foreign affairs Minister.... this position in itself has himself in a watchdog position.. making sure he knows all foreign matters are seen by his eyes, this is critical in making sure he's made aware of everything foreign.

Totally agree that horses improve with age as they actually get faster with age. Strangely enough this was the topic of another post where scientific evidence indicated that our horses didn't reach full speed potential until they were 5-6. As a refresher here are the study results. Maybe the old timers knew what they were talking about when they didn't race their horses early

In this instance though, even though she is older, you have other horses competing against each other (franking the form) that indicate, on the face of it, that the improvement is only minor (any improvement is great) as Magic Wand is the recent benchmark. Having been thrashed by Magical (123), you can line up the form correctly. Magical is very good (ran 10l behind Waldgist in this year's Arc) but every time she ran into Enable, she got thrashed. So if Enable is 127 (average) and Magical is 122 (average) then Magic Wand is running to 112 before the Cox Plate. She can't improve that much in 1 month, so the form rating stands. So the winner Lys Gracieux cannot be more than Magical (122) and her recent previous form would indicate this. So this may have been a career best (visually), so I don't think the improvement that you are looking for is there. That's why at the moment TAS is not yet as good as most think he is. He's a good horse but he is not yet a messiah.

Lys Gracieux winner of 3 group ones from 19 starts. Cox Plate plus 2 in Japan. Ventured across the ditch to Hong Kong twice and beaten into 2nd both times. Beaten by Exultant first time and Win Bright and Exultant the second time so Exultant is the form franker. Exultant ran 3rd to Churchill in the Irish 2000 Guineas and then got rolled by Benbatl in the Hampton Court. Exultant got best rating of 129 when beating Rise High and Dark Dream at his last start but that's a bollocks rating. How could he be rated above Beauty Generation?!?. Rise High won a group 3 in Ireland and Dark Dream won the Queensland Derby. Every time Exultant ran into Beauty Generation, he got smashed...as did Rise High and Dark Dream. Beauty Generation rated 127. 
So Lys Gracieux cannot be rated more than Beauty Generation (127), Benbatl (123),  or Exultant, and with Magic Wand (rated 111 and really a three year old) only 1/2 behind TAS, then TAS is sitting on 118p because Lys Gracieux made them look second rate, was only 1 in front of TAS at the 1000m mark and went round the field vs TAS's saloon run where Moses was on his side.
So TAS has still got to improve to be a top class international......just my opinion

Racing is all about opinions , no sport left if no one ventured an opinion and it was countered by another opinion with a bit of to and throw , is that not what betting is and the fun of it is    ? . I have discussed racing with a murderer many years back   , he knew his form  , but not sure he ever raced one let alone a good one  and not sure a racing post was supplied with his toothbrush and one phonecall every two weeks for his 25 stretch.We were at odds though as  he slagged off Mouse Roberts , he was an awesome jockey .

Let's keep the TAS performance in perspective. Yes, it was a top run in an international field - and OP got a dream passage on/near the rail to save many lengths  - but he didn't win, in fact was well beaten by a horse that also drew wide, hadnt had a lead-up run in Oz, had some traffic to negotiate from a midfield position and showed brilliant acceleration on that tight turning track to win easily.
All the honours are with the winner imo.
 

Hunting Horn is  in MV Cup, drawn 3 . If he goes like he did in Man O War Stakes this year he will test their stamina .. Race time was third fastest in 21 years and was run down very late . Final 100 metres might be his undoing though but if they let him get a gap they will have problems .
Chief Ironside is in the mile , he  was completely  untested in Toorak , moved up but wall of horses and jockey just cruised in . Be better off in a  handicap but I might roll the dice with him.

First post on thread  track report said on speed horses close to rails , drawn 3 MV Cup Hunting Horn out quick , gets rails and rolls along . He can tear round the Yank turns ok and Chester so Valley should be  fine. His Royal Ascot run 2 lengths behind the ARC  winner in race jam  packed with multiple Group 1 winners Inc last year's Arc second reads well .He has been used as pacemaker a few times this season  , last up 66/1 ridden by McNamara he  was there to set pace for Magical and rest of Ballydoyle team in Irish Champion .He is doing his own thing tomorrow. .
