I think it's safe for you to start crowing now?
Bonecrusher is currently 12th in a field of 12. We've only just now struggled past the $1k mark. All four of us need to call in substitutes 🤣

Thankyou Pete & Insider fair enough, i have taken part in place 6 since day one & have shared my insight here a few times a while ago. Correct Pete...very well (place 6 king pool scooper they call me lol)
Its funny Insider, i have only ever used the tab web site...    tab.co.nz   on my laptop & cellular phone. The app is so hard to read/find my fav bet types in a hurry. 🙂

PLACE 6 WAS GREAT 90% OF YOU CLOWNS COMENTING HERE HAVE NOT A CLUE HOW IT WORKED OR NEVER TOOK ONE.
IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PICK6!  APART FROM THE NUMBER 6
NOTHING TO DO WITH FIXED PLACE BETTING.
    IT WAS UNIQUE.

Look, I get they are in a situation. But I cannot see how reducing our punt options, works for them as a model.
    They need to do better.

Going to the Stradbroke again,, Looking forward to a decent crowd & hopefully a Kiwi winner or two
Was there in the Bar with many disgruntled Aussies,...Pumpa weaving his Magic on my favourite horse.
Not too concerned about entry (paid package already)
Probably $8 xxxx,,s, , (who needs to eat. LOL)
plenty of time for that later. Hamo Hotel or Casino
MUST ADMIT  H.B Racing does a good job over the Spring Carnival, all handy public amenities.
B.Y.O 6 beers / bottle of wine , & good old hot dog, with plenty of sauce.
Crickey ! Houlahan's Dream , a NZ racecourse without a Hot-dog is like a farm with out No.8 wire or Red band Gumboots

Houlahan's Dream reacted to Black Kirrama in NZ Judicial Reports, post Race Day, are a farce compared with Hong Kong.
Click on the HKJC web site / results.
In HK  every runner in every race  has a Judicial Control comment. In numerical descending order. Post Race.
For the last 15 years I have been lobbying for the same Judicial reporting format in NZ. that HK has..
We need the same form  format in NZ. to sync with  the World Wide betting pools.
Our  two websites NZ RACING and the new Entain TAB need to get their act together.
Combine all Race horse data into one accessible site.
As investors in our industry we need to have all information including Judicial reports available when we click on a horse..
Racing .com do this very well and have links to each runner's  judicials reports, previous gear worn, lead out by pony pre race, Hood pre race.
In NZ we have reverted or still adhere to  a  simplistic race day report, which Judge  Tony Ryan  said reminded him of Samoa.
Stenographers who can not spell correctly. Dates incorrectly recorded . i.e  The Peter Tims case .
Incorrectly recorded statements from participants who  Maurice McBreen defended and won

So have a look at this from yesterday  Tauranga  R5
    FROCKED UP GIRLS 3YO
Following the running of this race connections of the second placed horse VALENTINE lodged a protest alleging interference in the final straight against the winner AQUILIFER.
After viewing replays and considering submissions the Adjudicator upheld the protest with the amended placings being
1 st VALENTINE, 2 nd AQUILIFER, 3rd SHE TURNS HEADS, 4 th IMPERIAL EMPRESS.

Who is The Adjudicator in this case ? Is it a one person  or a majority vote. From a 4 person panel ?

Stewards: A Dooley (Chair), L Selvakumaran, G Stewart Vet: L de Clifford BVSc Op Support: K Verner
My questions regarding this race reversal  are:
( Waiting  replies from  Rod , Steve ND OTHERS )

I reckon I could do a better maketing Job.
The arse is falling out of NZ Racing...
How about catering more for the Public ?
Oz do it well, as hard as it is to admit !
I  watched the cup as usual, But yeah the absence of Public numbers & Glitz & Glamour was obvious.

Speaking of catering, I wonder how many hot dogs on a stick they sold at Cheltenham? How many NZ race courses have sushi, or Ramen for example. Tacos? Anything remotely modern, as in from this century? Last time at Te Rapa (mid Jan) I had perhaps the WORST veggie sandwich in history - not the end of the world but predictably bad. I know there is more to going to the races than getting a decent snack but to me it is symbolic of the lack of care at our race tracks. It is a great experience watching the horses, but getting bird shit on your pants, and then having soggy chips, bad sandwich and disinterested hospo staff really adds to the experience.

I suppose we can look forward to trips to Aussie, decent food at Caulfield, nice hospo experiences at Randwick and even, God forbid, percentage quinella bets or this AMAZING product called a Duet. Way too fancy for NZ punters, of course......

Why? Because one day that might be all you have, and betting on Australian racing only. New Zealand will go the way of Singapore and Macau if this doesn't work. Some of us will still be around to see what happens after 2028, others won't. I won't be, but l just hope this cash injection in the long term, somehow. I don't agree with everything they're doing, but they have to do something otherwise the lights likely would be turned off during my lifetime.

NZ Cup Day at Riccarton $40  charge 15000 turn up
Wellington Cup Day $50 charge 5000-6000 turn up.
Auckland Cup Day $20 the cheapest. Do not know the crowd figures but more people there than Derby Day.
Herbie Dyke Day at Te Rapa free to get in always is did you go could not afford the petrol?or do what i did catch the inter city bus to Hamilton and get a bus from there to Te Rapa.I will go to watch top horses
Clubs would hardly make anything from your betting turnover.
It is 2024 $20 buys you nothing?

Not a big punter at all.
Used to be a member, got sick of the broken seats and birdshit in members stand.
My point which you so surely misread was, what do we get for our $20.
In other jurisdictions there is more of an incentive to part with your hard earned.
In public stand down stairs we have hot ham rolls (not bad to be honest) but other than that you have pretty dire sandwiches, pies, chips etc.
I do bring my own food to the races.
You are right to say Ellerslie is better than most tracks in NZ...but that is a VERY low bar.
