  1. You can opt for fixed or normal. With the addition of exacta which is a plus.
  2. Nice one. Am going to try a % exacta with AoTruth/Humidor/Fifty Stars...one other. See if we can snare a divvy.
  3. Exactly right. Only exotic I can snare regularly is a quinella....exacta like a turbo form of that. I say regularly but if I got two per Saturday I would be doing well...;)
  4. I think this is a step in the right direction but still, unlike most Aussie bookmakers, there is no percentage option. I have had some success on 365 with 50% exactas which often pay quite well. But at least you can do exactas as well as quinella which suits me for exotics. Derby exacta if a roughie pops up could be worthwhile.....
  5. I suppose the rules do need to be clear because one day, someone is going to snag a BIG E/W payout ($5k perhaps) and at that point, giving back $100 or 50% will be quite relevant.
  6. Congrats to winners and thanks for the comp guys! My best performance in some time....perhaps an autumn win is around the corner.
  7. Matamata Race 6 - 4 Flemington Race 3 - 6 Matamata Race 8 - 6 Randwick Race 3 - 1 Flemington Race 5 - 2 BB Randwick race 4 - 9 Flemington Race 6 - 1 Flemington Race 7 - 2 BB Randwick Race 6 – 6 Flemington Race 8 - 10 Randwick Race 7 - 4 Flemington Race 9 – 11 Bit rushed today, best I can do. Good luck folks!
  8. I support this. It costs nothing to enter, so leaving a bit in the kitty is sensible.
  9. Oh I get it now. But surely if you win two Cox plates, a Doncaster or two, go overseas and have success at the highest level....then you are the best mare we have produced, right? I suppose context is everything. Those top class horses we have coming through now, racing here and in Aus. Awesome.
  10. To be fair, we race them to compare who is fastest/best, correct? Otherwise just put the beautiful creatures in a paddock and admire them. I agree they are all amazing. Some of MBelle's wins have to be seen to be believed, and when I witnessed Avantage at Trentham....my oh my. But I do think Probabeel looks amazing this autumn. Incredibly deft handling by Richards. Fair play to him. She could go through autumn unbeaten.
  11. Ascot Park Race 6 – 2,6,8,9 Ellerslie Race 7 – 1, 6,7,13 Ellerslie Race 8 – 4,6,7,14 Caulfield Race 5 – 1,3, 6, 11 Caulfield Race 6 – 1,2, 6,7 BB Rosehill Race 6 – 1,4,5,11 Caulfield Race 7 – 1,5,13,14 Rosehill Race 7 – 1,3,4,10 Caulfield Race 8 – 1, 2,6,7, Thanks heaps team. Happy punting everyone!
  12. Jeez, I hope you are right. My understanding (Guerin?) was that they had segregated members/owners into groups of less than 100. And they were not going to allow anyone else. I have been wrong before though and this may be one of those cases.......
  13. I believe it is not open to Joe punter.....? So hence, sneaking a peak but not going in the main gate, if you get my drift. Sounds a bit desperate I know...;)
  14. In fact, it worked SO well, they had to change it! Railway, Akl Cup New Years, Air NZ stakes in March, then the Easter. Etc. But I am sure the corporate racedays in March make money for them, so fair play. It's a shame the racing is almost an afterthought.....
  15. Platinum Invader. Fiscal Fantasy. Am neither member nor owner but hoping to sneak a peek at the action from down by the 2400 start if that carpark gate is open. Guineas - I have no idea.
  16. My bad. No AJC derby, just failed in ours over 2400, then did ok in one of the guineas races, then they put him the BMW! Against the Diva etc. Over 12f again. FFS. Had as much chance as Ricardo Menedez would fighting Tyson Fury. Ludicrous. My .02c worth only.
  17. Cheval de Troy! Did that animal get the short end of the stick. Manufactured into derby favouritism. Clearly did not get the 12f. So they send it to Sydney. Thrash it in top level races including the BMW I think, certainly AJC derby. Still doesn't run 12f (who knew?). Not seen again. Agree about patient rides. I still maintain El Duce was a shot in the Auckland cup the year he won the Waikato Cup and Queen Elizabeth...IF she had held him till the 300 in the straight. Led on turn, faded for sixth from memory.
  18. I would agree except...I think Avantage has been crushingly good in last two runs. Just cannot see anything getting near her in a NZ sprint anytime soon. No knock on MB either. Hell of a horse.
  19. Clearly not his best. Why he thought Tiptronic would simply nice for MB, especially when she was not exactly surging into it.....but of a mystery. Maybe her best is behind her? Been at the top level for three seasons now?
  20. Thanks heaps for the comp guys. I know there is significant labour involved. We certainly appreciate it. Well done to the winners and good luck with your investments.
  21. Race1) - 3 Keats Race 2)- 12 Montana Mist Race 3)- 4 Torgue Time Race 4)- 4 Pierro Rosso Race 5)- 3 Gold Watch Race 6)- 7 Avantage Race. 7) - 1 Amarelinha Race 8)- 2 Tiptronic Race 9)- 10 Rusalka Thanks heaps for the comp. Good luck to all!
  22. I do like it. Funnily enough my local track, Avondale, is a remarkably good racing surface. Pity the stand and facilities look like a set out of "The Wire".
  23. Is it a straight handicap or SWP race? Or some mixed version of the two?
  24. Focusing on the Cup this week. Good Fight looks well placed. Might have Waisake/Robusto/Jakkstarr in some sort of exotic bet. Good luck to all!
  25. I only remembered Solsefei as I backed it at 12s or something, after a decent Marton cup run.
