Saw a bit on Tom Queally a little while back on what he's up to now  , I don't think he's riding anymore . Trying to recall what channel I saw it on might be Racing TV .

Bounding' s half brother by Galileo now favorite for Guineas and Epsom  Derby after winning Futurity at The Curragh overnight. Called Anthony Van Dyck he is by Galileo. Coolmore mixing that Galileo blood with Aussie blood again like Highland Reel and Idaho.
Anthony Van Dyck was according to Wiki a Flemish Baroque Artist, bit over my head all that but do like those names for racehorses as I learn a bit from it.

None that I can see, and a real negative in that racing is removed from the community concerned.

Each to their own I personally can’t see the point in having an expensive painting vehicle effectively it’s a toolbox on wheels and depreciates reasonably quickly. Also I can guarantee those painters don’t have a passion for owning racehorses . :)

Great to see a really civilised, well thought out discussion on here with no personal attacks. Exactly how this site should be.

There were some handy horses in that no doubt. But also MB has beaten good horses, she won the 2000m NZ Stakes beating Danzdanzdance and Rhondinella who both placed at G1 in Aus in good races.

Thanks for the education I appreciate it .
Not being an expert on such matters why do I see painters  cruising round in shining  80 k vehicles with company logos when a 30k shiney van would do job and used to do job .Surely that is a waste of tax dollars when running a business is it not .Maybe they are just wallys. Personally I like my 80 k vehicles unlogoed.

I think you will find most rich are clever and use tax loopholes , maybe that new car is brought through a company which then gets depreciation , get refunds and all manner of cash backs.  Waged earner gets FA back and pays for everything .As everywhere those at top doing well , those at bottom looked after and those in middle pay for the lot of them up and down.

I can't really see the GN meeting carrying on if jumps racing stops in the rest of the SI. Riccarton provides no jumps racing itself outside of the GN and there are virtually no jumpers trained in Canterbury. I imagine there are all sorts of clever highly paid people proposing various initiatives to try and revitalise jumping in the South,  but I have  missed reading about it.

You are either brave or stupid, Boss Hogg.
    But also very funny.
I too watched it the other night (First dates Australia), "only because the wife was watching it."
Laura's date... poor bloke. Took off before acceptances, only to be shot down by her at the end.
    His last start formline reads:
"Slow away, made ground, faced breeze, plugged, found nothing, choked down."
Only good thing was, he didn't bleed.
Trainer to be questioned about performance.
Required to trial and vet clearance required prior to next raceday start.

Wife was watching one of those aussie rubbish shows on tv. I think it was Lets get married and I  will make your life a misery .she yells out there is a jockey on .I went and looked it was Laura she looked stunning. She would have to be one of the toughest jockeys ever man her injuries include broken neck [in a halo for 3 months] broken back ,leg [turned back the front]broken ankle ,arm ,wrist, fingers ribs .And then gets back on to ride .Has rode over 2.500.000 in stakes .Is riding in Beaudesert and driving over to GC for one ride .Said to wife man if I was single I would fly to aus and be her boyfriend .Wife replied the first part is easy and I will drive you to airport,I think she was joking, not sure maybe I should shot up.

Ispolini gets 3lb and only 4 lbs  behind Stadivarius according to handicapper . He might have edge on fitness so if he is  going to beat him tonights the night .
Lucius Tiberius in race after an odd one . Godolphin got him for 320000 guineas at Newmarket HIT sales  from Ballydoyle at end of 3 year old season, gelded him and he's just gone ok in two runs .
First Eleven , Kingmans half brother by Frankel  won well first day , was on 104 ,lightly raced could be improver.Heading to Ebor according to RP.
85k to put Telecaster back in Derby , they pulled him out in Spring, oops .

No I dont think so Darwin July to august races are brilliant as good as anything on the east coast .Huge crowds so get there early or upgrade to members .Camp grounds are just out of town but we always catch buses.Parap pub is a short walk from races and has a huge tab also has strippers at lunch time just to get your day off to a good start.

Not many horses unraced as juveniles win Derby , not sure numbers who have ..Likes of Oath and Golden Horn had blow outs  in backend maidens and got run under belt .Ballydoyle had Ruler of World in 2013 maiden win, Chester Vase then Derby , 2019 Sir Dragonet maiden win , Chester Vase maybe Derby ?. With Persian King looking dominant in France  maybe they  go all in and attack Epsom with even bigger numbers this year.

Chester very different course to most in UK Ire . Vase has produced Henbit , Shergar , Ruler of the World and Wings of Eagles was placed . Some average winners too like all the Derby Trials.  Sir Dragonet got class all over pedigree and sure to get supplemented . They always happy to run  multiple runners at Epsom.
Dante run this week always good and this year looks real good .
Ex Lingfield Derby Trial winner Nevis runs this week at Timaru. He's been around the houses that one .
