  1. So one OZ based Pom trainer of Zaaki won more races at Group level than any NZ based trainer and OZ trainer born in NZ combined , is that right !!! That cannot be right . Did any NZ based trainers train any winners during Carnival ?
  2. Plus Unique Artist and South Pacific , they had a field day at Flemington. Berdibek, Lackeen and Crystal Pegasus all runners up at Rosehill . I thought you were going to go through card at one point last night at Ascot . Had Gulliver in 5th in Wokingham at 20s so not a bad each way payout from UK . Tatts July horses in training sale lots out , some big drafts from the big players . Be a few heading down I'd guess .
  3. Southgate has a plan , yep ok .1 goal in 180 minutes , Scots zero . Two average teams but only one with delusions that they are world beaters.
  4. Poms a terrible team. No effort at all , shame Scots couldn't do them late . South Pacific , only 2.20 but sort horse if I didn't have mouths to feed I'd lump on ,everyone bar top three wrong in weights and they include the decent plodder Haky giving 5 to field and Norway who is setting for hurdles .South Pacific hit form last run , his last win almost exactly to the day two years ago at Royal Ascot beating Constantinople in a handicap there .
  5. Nice introduction from Bon Vivant , about 5 half hearted flicks from Oliver then just pushed out . Ran on a beauty . Three out of top 7 in VRC Derby came out of that race last year , Johnny Gets Angry only beat one home .Reminds me of Chenier who they had about two years back .
  6. Only 600k of workers hard earned tax dollars, no need to panic .
  7. Bit of a lottery the last Rosehill but I am having a few coins on each way at 21s and 5s Accountability, not too many goes on heavy but won on soft and not disgraced with a bit of give in ground . 2nd up record pretty handy . A throw at the stumps .
  8. Every day everywhere JC their stallions keep rolling , Oamaru yesterday , trifecta through Raise the Flag and Zacinto , Zacinto grabbed a win in later race and Showcasing bobs up with a placegetter . Got decent draft in July HIT sales ,Lot 520 Destinado , I'd be interested who gets him. Lope De Vega gelding , out of half sister to Enable . Couple of quiet places in provinces then hot favorite in Longchamp handicap over 2800 metres , ran just OK but clearly has some ability . Few decent ex French runners from the Stud over the years , Foreteller, Harlem and Finche a few of them, admittedly they had runs on board.
  9. Have a dig through that damside OM for Bon Vivant it's pretty handy . Long time Darley family .Good Friend maiden for Godolphin in France but then it gets real handy , Her dam Forest Pearl also produced Miss Finland in an Aussie mating , her dam was Moonshell who won Epsom Oaks for Godolphin and her dam was a very good filly trained by Henry Cecil called Moon Cactus . If my memory serves me correctly she had just the one eye but could run. Placed second in French Oaks to stablemate Rafha when ridden by Cauthern . She produced as well as Moonshell and other multiple winners , Doyen who was a super horse , and Hatha Anna who Suroor brought out to Flemington many years back and won a QE 2. You got to think anything he does today will be improved upon over a trip as a 3 year old . Get on early for VRC or AJC Derby !!! Good night last night at Ascot , decent place divvy Tasman Bay and the 25s !!! Raymond Tusk brilliant , thought he was home . Been waiting all week for him so decent return for 2nd , the old lightly raced younger horse done him in end . Great training by King to sweeten him up .
  10. Grest run last night by Go Bears Go , won his side in 2nd place finish . I see Tasman Bay in tonight so a bit of NZ interest again .Newbury 3rd working out very well , top two 3rd in Derby , 4th in St James Palace , forth won next time out so decent ew chance to bob into a place
  11. Juddmonte bred stallions got a winner at every UK meeting yesterday to go with Surefire . Frankel got Grp3 at Royal Ascot , plus winner at Chelmsford and Ripon . New Bay picked up the Brittania First Defence got on board at Lingfield Spanish Moon got one over the sticks at Ffos Las . Frankel has got at least three now at Ascot this week as got the last two on first day . He has a few to go yet . What amazes me is they go on a wide variety of trips. The Grand Visir heads out over 2 mile 6 in few days .
  12. A couple of Galileo half brothers to Zoustar line up tonight Stodge , up in trip a bit from Zoustar , Empire of the Sun in Gold Cup and Kondo Isami in the last . I've had a little each way on Kondo Isami and Raymond Tusk tonight for some interest .
  13. Good to see the great run from the second in the Peter Harris colours used now by his daughter but winner one tough mare . He did a great job getting people involved in racing in 90s and had a superb yard in beautiful setting at Tring in Herfordshire . Had some very good steeplechasers back in day . Good mix of winners on day two , some new connections to go with the heavyweights of Godolphin, Cheveley and Coolmore .
  14. The lightly raced gelding from Yarmouth looks very tidy , Kemari won Queens Vase easy last night . Melbourne must be on radar with these two after what they did with Cross Counter . Faster going no issues last night .
  15. I see from report in RP Lucky Vega runs his last race tonight in St James Palace then heads off to Stud in OZ . Frankel only just lasted in it , Zoffany almost had him late on
  16. Commanche Run a good Leger winner , Lester Piggott won an Irish Champion on him at the old Pheonix Park track, Track was shaped like a hairpin. He had a massive battle with Baynoun in the Leger , sired some good jumpers over the years .
  17. Few each way in handicaps for me tonight . R 5 , Postileo , lightly raced , finishes off strongly in races over 2 miles plus , this trip should suit him . Gets outpaced at points in races but got plenty of time to get a roll on tonight up that straight . Around the 16s mark so that's decent each way value . Will have a bit each way on Alan Kings Cour DE Lion , ran a beauty in Chester Cup . Loves the trip .Around 12s mark Will follow King in last with On To Victory each way , he has bit form on decent surface , King knows the time of day so again 12s good enough for me .
  18. William Haggas 8 to 1 at William Hill to be top trainer . Strong looking team in , Ilaraab entered in Hardwicke might be alright . Could be a Melb Cup horse . Lightly raced, been given time and already 111 . Looking at the state of the Brisbane Cup yesterday that horse would earn a million buck plus here easy .
  19. Couple decent places from yours OM, Bedford one of those that got closer than he looked like he would at the furlong pole , few more strides he's there . I am giving old Mega Heart one more go each way tonight but only for a few gold coins . 8 lbs below last win mark, back on his favorite surface and distance. Probably needs to get out quick from the nine post but just a bit of a throw at stumps . No more for me on him after tonight though .Won a race last year off back of average run.
  20. Unraced half sister to Enable by Oasis Dream called Birdwood has first runner tonight in second from Sandown , colt by Frankel called Bold and Loyal. , Moore teams up with Stoute yard again . That's a well bred colt , could be cheap at 100k as a yearling , see how he goes tonight . Will go out as Fav by looks of it .
  21. Mr Mooj , 5s and 2s Sandown tomorrow Gruff , liking the look of him , money back the place each way .
  22. Just had a watch , he fair ripped out in that Italian race and put it to them , stuck on well in end , the Celebration Stakes win at Curragh last year looked nice too .Form behind The Revenant in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein good too .
  23. Ran last month in Ireland , did very well back there . Returned as Ancient Spirit in Ireland . Beat Buckhurst Hill last year . Will be plenty of his races from last year on you tube, lost bit of form this year in two runs . Racing Post search will give full race details for every race . Looks a real good buy and Waller must have given them word he had something to give as he went to top trainers back in Europe . Bolger and Harrington don't have many empty boxes ,
  24. Did well when he returned to Europe , into Bolger then Harrington yards . Looks like he likes to tear off in lead but shows some tough battle in end of races. Seemed to be his pattern of racing .His half brother better , Alson , the Group 1 win in Criterium International worth a look on you tube for something different in a group 1 . Armoury didn't go in ground but Alson did . Alson likes to lead and looking at granddams form in pattern level she lead out in main too . The Champion 3 year old miler of Italy a bit flimsy when you look at form . 3rd in only ItalIan run at back end beating home Wait Foreever the Italian Guineas winner who was trapped wide and had danced every dance the whole season and run very decent races .
  25. Anything Alan King lines up in handicap over 2000 plus , normally great each way value and go very well , King jumps trainer in the main knows the time of day at the festivals , ones off a hurding campaign nice and fit . Each way they give a decent run for money . He has Raymond Tusk going well off the stable switch so I am keeping my eye out for a bit of value . 2nd the other day to real up and coming stayer from Haggas yard who is entered at York on Saturday.
