Just about to load up on a few multis at Matamata.
Saw Warren Kennedy took a decent tumble today but he's riding a few I like tomorrow including plunge horse Dancing Sands.
Well he's still declared on the multi million dollar TAB website so lets get on !
Hang on check, loveracing, no notifications on riders not riding tomorrow.
Alas, go through the actual fields and Warren Kennedy missing form declared rides ...
Why can't they share information, the fall was 7 hours ago.
Not good enough

Is that Henderson Town Centre or grubby grotty Lincoln Rd ?

With all the mayhem with the track at Dome Valley , hope you're all leaving early for Ruakaka on Wednesday.
Funny how no concerns for Ruakaka track voiced after the Big Clubs last few debacles

Winston Peters must be thinking what a bunch of farkn clowns !!!
Do all this for this lot and they still can't run a piss up in a brewery

Interesting interview with Paul Wilcox , had no idea the cuts were coming and telling Tod and Stewart to front up . Totally agree with his comments, where are they, how is the Industry placed ?
If turnover is going so well , why the $15 million loss ...
Something fishy and every stakeholder should be knocking down their door for answers and explanations or you'll be lucky to be racing for $10k next season.
And more scarily , does this mean a decrease in the ATR stakemonies ...

How bad would it look without the BGP turnover injection..

Thanks Gubellini, I trust your superior knowledge.
I thought they may have had a decent maiden 10-15 years ago, can't remember if it won a race eventually but maybe not,
Cheers,

And in typical Cubes fashion, Bad Flamingo went round with the White Armband !
They were the black colours of the Carston stable but every other time I've seen Black arm bands required on Black colours, they have still worn a black armband.
Still leading the way Cubes..

RIP Cubes,
A lesson to us all of how best to utilise Racecafe.
As many posters have said, His posts were always worth reading and enjoying.

Loved Leith as a jockey but hes got a bit of work to do as a presenter. He seems to regularly get caught out not listening and BP or AR need to repeat questions. He should have a lot of good inside info to share and access to NZ racing personalities - perfect for carving out a Michael Walker type of role on screen - but sadly so far hes adding nothing.
Anyone seen him tip anything pre-race besides the favourite?
Well funny that, I see it the total opposite.
Instead of muting Trackside until the last is loading or fast forwarding to the gates crashing open, I now have to start watching 5 minutes out to get Leith's input , suggestions, insight and selections.
Funny old world huh...

Good grief, surely Mills is begging because they have paid out everybody who had to stay down there for at least another 2 days, owners, trainers, jockeys, staff etc
And all the same who flew down for the week or specifically for NZ Cup day .
This is one of the most pathetic things I've seen or heard.
If he had of apologized and said you are entitled to your refund I dare say many would have accepted the apology and maybe a quite a few would let it ride.
I urge every one of you to collect that refund.
Hope its the sound of a ceo falling on his sword,,,

Charlie Bukowski Roger won the 1980 Taumaranui Cup on Heidelberg.
My memory is standing right next to the Winners stall at Waipa as Roger came back in, think I even backed him as well.
Think the colours were just about Blue/Light Blue or White quarters or Black and White Quarters. similar anyways

Legendary jockey and even better bloke.
Was Heidelberg another topweight Roger used to ride ?
He was pure class in his day

Sad to see Kozzi not riding out Duncan Creek to line in the 1st race today. Loses 3rd right on the line.
Holiday on the cards you'd think.
Or am I being too harsh

Gary Crossey......

Do they leave the topweight at 57.5kg or do they have the discretion to raise everyone 1.5kg or 2.5k to 59kg or 60kg ?
They can stop Laura Lafferty from riding Derby Day, thought a rule around this would be more relevant

The last 3 CEOs have trotted out this same insane mindfk gobbledegook and the next 3 will do it too.
If we get that far of course.
TABs motto is the top 3% of our customers provide 90% of our turnover(ok approximate) and I suppose that's all that or should matter at the end of the day.
Big gripe for tomorrow ...
6 - yes 6 mdn races on a 2 day Saturday meeting - in the middle of Spring racing - think that says it all about our Industry.
But hey the All Blacks are going shithouse , Muliana even accepting a loss to Scotland.
Not the All Black brand we know, what hope Racing

This happened fifteen years ago. Time for whoever at the TAB to let it go. Give the punters what they want and find some space on Trackside for Luke.
A couple of weeks ago Christophe Soumillon did something that could have seriously hurt or even killed Rossa Ryan and he only got two months and was still allowed to ride in the Arc.
And while we are giving the punters what they want, can we please get Brian Martin back doing the dogs so there's less chance of us falling asleep watching dog races between the galloping races. Punters want to be entertained not bored to tears.
Today would have been the day to have Luke on.
That shit that was dredged up today was embarrassing to say the least

Andrew , one bit of advice mate.
Flag the satellite stable crap.
Get to Melbourne and go all in.
For your size a satellite stable won't work.
Get over there lock stock and barrel.
Concentrate fully over there and you will nail it.
Split everything and it won't work
PS , you don't owe NZ Racing anything and they sure as hell ain't going to help you out
