I’m tired of seeing this b/s flashing up on the Trackside screen about ringing the 0900 RIB 123 if you know of any corrupt practices in racing FFS the only corruption of racing is from within the RIB isn’t it, corruption by virtue of their bumbling incompetence, as displayed in Inca Racing is 99.9% clean…..we’re all hard working and poorly paid…. but passionate participants, so why do we pretend the industry is infested with villains & crooks ? Is it to justify the plethora of ex cops who’ve retired to bury their snouts into the racing industry coffers ?

No Berri … he’s a self proclaimed expert I represented J Mac in his appeal after the 15 day suspension for harmlessly pushing out on the turn in the Karaka Million a couple of years ago I used a number of examples both international ( pick any raceday you wish in Sydney ) and domestic ( Troy Harris in the 2000 Guineas on Catalyst ) to demonstrate that it was both common place and in fact obligatory that you must push out on the turn to give your mount every opportunity ( see Leith Innes, he’s the master of the art ) …. anyway Oatham argued that he was the expert and it was not an allowable riding tactic … then he privately had a crack at Troy Harris for supporting my accurate assertions I had a modest career but I was never out of the top ten jockeys in NZ, and never not in the top three apprentices… but Oatham claimed he knew more than me !!!! He repeated the claim when they tried to crucify Billy Pinny My view is that he’s delusional, but sadly not alone in that state of mind at the RIB

I don’t want to debate the duration of the event you’re alluding to, however all I will say is that it took considerably less time than the Telegraph … with a strong tail wind .. and that 67 seconds included what you thought was foreplay What I do want to debate is the title of this thread, which somehow claims you’ve been “thinking” The veracity of such a claim is clearly questionable and patently absurd

Firstly, the young lady who was hurt at Sticks was given the appropriate “green light” to ride after undergoing a course at Kyrewood in Palmerston North, so it’s hard to see why or how that prosecution ever succeeded Secondly, given the outrageous behaviour of the RIB and their army of ex cops ( see Operation Inca ) surely they should be deciding who can ride and when !! As an aside John Oatham claims to be an expert ……why doesn’t he certify all the “wannabe” jockeys

Hold the line caller Berri & Chevy make a fair point….it’s irrelevant what gender the presenter is ( Berri of course had a bob each way anyway )… the presenters job is firstly to provide information and entertainment….which is designed to increase turnover If they’re not doing those simple tasks they shouldn’t be in the job, because they’re not fit for purpose Ask yourself a simple question…..could they be in studio for a rugby game ? as an expert …if the answer is no then that means they’re not suited to rugby, and using the same logic they’re not fit to be hosting the racing game….because they lack the appropriate expertise and / or credibility Nothing personal here, just simple performance related facts of life

Too many vindictive nasty guys in the RIB, most with NO real racing experience I’m afraid Their behavior isn’t helping racing one little bit Their attacks on Pinn were relentless and completely out of proportion

Kind hands and they just run for him, he’s a huge asset to racing That was a great G1 win The RIB and JCA should be ashamed of the way they’ve bullied and abused the kid Thank god NZTR didn’t cave in to the RIB’s ludicrous demands they take his licence away permanently It’s high time the RIB offered some resignations over the ongoing abuse of this kid

The accused pay their own legal fees The ignorant who pursue them use industry money and resources There’s also the not insignificant matter of who lies the most, and if a self professed RIB expert claims that “taking a blood” is Lance Armstrong, or that using a common osmotic diuretic salt is “a performance enhancing drug” then we need to push back The RIB has no obvious integrity, they’ve been corrupted by stupid uneducated ex cops who think they’re tough guys, and sadly they’re aided and abetted by a JCA that’s now no more than puppets, “guns for hire”, who have no empathy or integrity It’s hard to understand how we got to this but it’s desperately sad and disappointing to those who’ve given their lives to the industry

Agree Have you read the evidence and all the transcribed surveillance ? Some of it is absolutely fxxxing bizarre It’s impossible to comprehend what they were thinking when they commenced this investigation As for their expert witness, god forbid … he declared at the start of the investigation that the world’s best driver was going to be extradited from the USA …. FFS …that was superseded only by the brain dead investigator who told the police “taking a blood” was doing a “Lance Armstrong”

So last week Judge Neave throws out all but one single race fixing allegation now, and there’s no betting irregularities or money trail on that one race ……yet the media stooges say nothing C’mon media, don’t be spineless, report the facts as this matter grinds on to the inevitable collapse ….if I know about it you must know too 10 million plus wasted, absolutely wasted, because there never was any evidence to substantiate the race fixing, PEDs, and blood doping allegations
