I think I remember reading Jim Smith was given a share in a horse out of Lady Aythorpe owned by the man from Hees Garden and it went on to win a Cox Plate as a fine animal called "Surfers Paradise".

Ivan also raced the Manawatu Sires Produce Winner in the 80's called TEDDY DOON By Rapier II, and trained by the "master" Graeme Rogerson Set for the race after running 3rd in teh Ellerslie Sires Produce Stakes, teddy Doon paid over $40 for the win.
