Aidan Rodley said it like it was on trackside - if the trackside crew were in the room with masks on how was it any different than interviewing a jockey after the race or the now groups of 200!!! allowed in a room anywhere else on course with no masks etc
Excluding trackside didn’t make sense and like all said added to the theatre

I don't think that the fence was off at all!
It was well off - you only needed to see those that dared to go there - stopped like they had been shot - Walking the track and it’s all chipped up and much much wetter

Pretty sad post when divvies are your biggest complaint when someone has lost their horse - and the jockey was also dealing with the aftermath of that

It's definitely one of the fastest 1200s in the world and partly as p4p says because it's downhill. Pretty simple job for someone to go for a stroll with a GPS device and confirm the distance is correct.
More so Leggy that today they found the race was 11 metres too short

Some from within the racing administration want him rubbed out forever, admittedly not many but that dodgy nurse they use to monitor licensees is one of them, and even Blair Orange is said to be very much In the sights of the head of the RIU who says he wants Orange rubbed out of the game forever
My view is that good licensees are very valuable industry assets and they should be protected and supported at all costs, if that’s reasonably possible
Define a good licensee ? You surely can’t call Jason that ? What employer would retain an employee for drug positives - threatening to kill and wilful damage - would be instant dismissive in most workplaces ?

See the net was cast in the South Island again today - catching a couple
A number of riders underwent drug and alcohol testing with J Laking being stood down from his riding engagements after returning a non-negative result. C Campbell was also stood down following Race 6 after returning a nonnegative result. Replacement riders are as detailed in the Summary.
Question as to how Corey Campbell was not picked up until Race 6 - riding in races 1, 2, 5 and 6??

Thats actually not that funny - if there had been an accident what would have been said then. There are rules for a reason - many high risk industries have a zero tolerance for alcohol, and a 24 hour clear rule - expecting a jockey to present at the races with a limit below 100 at 12pm raceday is not unreasonable - the rules clearly state it.
Many standard workplace drug and alcohol policies enforce six unannounced random tests to an employee who has undergone drug or alcohol rehabilitation.

Would it not be expected that drug and alcohol testing would be conducted prior to the first race of the day? Chris Johnson stood down today after failing a breath alcohol screening test after having ridden in Race 1?

We all want racing to continue & help the economy.

Would be helpful if people at NZTR read Govt.UK legislation relating to Facecoverings, including rights to exemptions ....
It's on Govt.UK website & freely available to read, pays to know your rights & remember Rule of Law
And NZTR can make their own health and safety measures on top of legislation to allow racing to continue
I would suggest unless you have that exemption from a doctor and presented to stipendary stewards you will not be allowed on course
At the end of the day we are trying to maintain racing so that we can be working and earning -
