Brodie totally agree with your comment . It must be the same for all . The problem with N I Amateurs , the fields are a wrought . S I are fine , as the have good numbers . N I at Cambridge , horses are scratched the very next day the fields come with no intention ever to run . In any sport you give whatever ,every chance , as close as possible to the time to compete . Conditions outside those advertised at nomination time are made , just to get a horse into the field , then something else will scratch, with , as I said no intention to run . They say otherwise ,but people know it .Just a wrought.

Like a earlier post , have wondered for ages why they don't simply have 4 WD vehicles , on grass tracks or wet weather .Takes a lot more of the risk out of the equation .

Can anybody tell me what happened to the North Harbour Trotting Complex in Diary Flat just north of Auckland???.i was there for a short time with the late Bert Clapam and Sally Fenning until Berts death and Sally moved back to Thames .I know odds and sods have used it , but how did this place with all the full facility's that are there , but run down , ever get this way .????? Covered stables ,what would of been a good track, sheds, paddocks the works . Vet and grain facilities 5 mins away . I believe it was brought by Waste Management to turn into a re-cycle depot , but was turned down by resource consent . WAS THIS SIMPLY A BADLY RUN AND MANAGED FACILITY THAT WENT BUST ????
