Bloody good on you Leo. Can anyone tell me how are guy from all reports had no money or neither did his family afford a QC. Surely legal aid dont hand out QC's at the tax payers expense. Or is someone funding it all?. What the going rate for a QC 5k plus a day ?. Whole legal system is crap.

Dont know exactly how but a simple explanation of the percentage total is if it  it is converted to dollars it is the amount you need to spend to win $100 so 128 %=$128 to win $100 spread over all runners so smaller is better for punters.SHORTER PRICES INCREASE THE % TOTAL.Roughly a$2 fave accounts for 50% $4 =25% etc but the complicated bit is between $1 and $2  where it goes from 50% to 100% the shorter it is priced, a small move in dollar terms is a big % move.Also we seem to be copying the overseas bookies who are paying increased poc taxes racefields levys etc but we do not have those costs yet so we should get better prices, the tab should have a competitive advantage , instead they are milking us AND enjoying an advantage over the opposition.

Mike, like many people you don't understand the concept of turnover. Somebody running a TAB doesn't get any pleasure from seeing their customers lose. They want their customers to win so they will reinvest. If someone loses all their money they eventually stop punting. The TAB makes its money every time someone has a bet, so they want them to bet over and over again. The TAB is happy to see most punters regularly winning as they clip the ticket every time the bet goes on.
if a string of roughies come in and you hear someone say "the TAB has cleaned up there" just remind them that they don't know what they are talking about and it is totally the opposite.
I am talking about the tote of course, fixed odds are slightly different, but even there they need their customers to be getting some money back.

What business dosent happily take peoples money? that is why it is called a business. What does that have to do with good customer service? Credit where credit is due. It sounds like a well run friendly TAB. I read on here on all the slagging of some shit TABS/PUBS so it good to see that is a decent one around.

I watched a recorded " GET ON " the next day and they were all over the 4 horses involved. I thought hell if you were in a bit of a rush you could easily have got $1 of it but $30 now that's either Balls OR stupidity. 99.9% of the time the later.

Enormous effort . Won 2 AFL premiership as a coach. Was a hard nose coach. To see him so emotional shows you what racing does to people. Owns the horse as well. Not a bad days work.
