  1. Good question, will have to look and see if its tempo related. Also how is Hastings a Dead6 after only 12mls of rain last night? Have they irrigated that heavilly?,
  2. What happened to each team having a plain colour such as black/red/green etc then different caps, would make it a lot easier. These mickey mouse patterned colours just dont work.
  3. Old mate Paddy the Legend hasn't won north of Taranaki has he?
  4. When's Sharrock leaving for Melbourne? he seemed adamant NZ racing was all doomed and he was off?
  5. Doing a really good job, has only 1 G1 winner from nearly 400 to race is main negative (she has recently been sold for 2.1 million guineas from memory) But a good solid stallion in both hemispheres for sure, and service fee in NZ is value
  6. Showcasing massively underated. Very handy proven dual hemisphere stallion
  7. Bringing a bit of balance in terms of the Super Easy love affair! Early days and plenty of work to be done
  8. So have the rest. Highly Recommended has had 2 stakes winners and 2 stakes placegetters from the same amount of mares to race, great effort Burgundy 2 seperate dual stakes winning horses, Reliable Man a stakes winner and multiple G1 placegetters. Power a G2 winner in NZ and 4 other stakes placegetters in NZ None of these stallions were over 10k with the exception of RM, just stating facts here, im not knocking SE but its not just the Super Easy show!
  9. Yeah was not a knock on Super Easy, the 2nd season sires are doing a good job and there are plenty more that are doing a solid/ok job at reasonable fees. Savabeel/Tavistock/Iffraaj/Pins clearly the top of the pack but hopefully some of the higher profile stallions with early runners or no runners can join that proven G1 company. I think Tavistock will get good fillies/mares in time (still hasn't sired a Group winning female though), he has had a few Listed Winners, Oaks placings and Group placings but still has to get it done, it is easy to forget that the progeny that he has had race so far have been off moderate service fees ($12,500 and under I think), and his current 2yo's are a result of his first 'big book' and the quality of the mares that have foaled down this year and been served again this year has been very strong so he will get every chance to fix his female stats and overall stats going forward.
  10. Big call, reasons why you suggest this? Not a major knock on Super Easy but a few young NZ stallions have made a good start Burgundy, Power, Reliable Man, Highly Recommended all are 2nd season sires that so far may have made a better start? Isnt Prom Queen Super Easy’s only stakes performer overall and his only winner this season in NZ from 12 runners?
  11. Reason I mentioned it was NZ Racing earlier on her gear change had served and not in foal, I see that has now been adjusted on her form but not on gear changes. Normally would just have served on?, and once 45 day scan has tested positive it changes to In Foal on (1st time of running) ?, maybe I am wrong? then in foal ie: Sofia Rosa Gear changes: Consensus: Not In Foal , Served on Sensible Princess: Hoof Pads (Front) on Sofia Rosa: Blinkers off
  12. I see Consensus missed, another year of racing for her?
  13. Unfortunately this is Australia blocking access, not the NZ TAB's fault this time
  14. ....

    Cup day

Common practice in the UK, will be a bucket of water waiting for the winner as soon as they come back to the winners stall
  15. 1st: #9 Gobstopper 2nd: #3 Sampson Last: #7 Locally Sauced
  16. Nice, both top mares will get every chance first up
  17. Half sister, originally purchased for $100 in 2012 at the National Mixed Sales and then on-sold for $4,500 in 2014 at the South Island Sales, Owners now have a 4 time (likely more to come) winning half sister to Gingernuts to breed from or sell on for a tidy profit and also have already earnt $50k in stakes.
  18. 6 of Pierro’s 7 stakes performers 1st dam’s are by Danehill line stallions (Flying Spur, Redoute’s Choice, Exceed & Excel, Rock Of Gibraltar The other stakes performer’s (Pinot G1 Oaks winner) 2nd dam is by Danehill So an obvious click there already with Danehill featuring up close in damline of all of his stakes horses, so great outcross appeal.
  19. Apologies there! very sensitive!, an insult would be linking Savvy Dream's to a Cox Plate right?
  20. Sounds like the two top mares Stolen Dance and Consensus will both be served by Tavistock in the coming weeks.
  21. Always is BYO during the first 2 dates of the spring carnival.
  22. If the tracks Slow7 or worse lay Stolen Dance all day! Consensus also proven with 59-60kg, and ran super first up in a similar type field with same weight. Love your twist here though as obviously this is a stepping stone for two very good mares, very tough!
  23. Congratulations to Team Lowry, they do a great job with their team. Has there ever been a 7yo having his 41st start that wins a WFA G1 race at his first attempt at a blacktype race? Incredible stat.
  24. What a win by Cracksman, Frankel gets his first European G1 winner and in a big one in great style!. Super win and is a very talented colt who deserved G1 success.
