if you watch the race you will see veyron follow mufhasa round the turn, then pull out and pass him. i saw a horse called taverstock do much the same thing a couple of years ago.

mufhasa's win......ehy is that?. i would guess they are still getting over the fact he was ass kicked by veyron at te rapa, and they shyed away from backing him on saturday.

she dosnt wear glasses, and i know linda when i see her. i didnt mean to take anything away from king mufhasa, but why dont we allow trainers with smaller stables their place in the sun. a group 1 race is big deal here or aussie. ] linda was taught by the best and is one of our top trainers, trackside wouldnt have done that to rodger james or the mckees. linda has a strike rate in the low sixes and mug trainers cant do that. the "top" trainers cant do that either for that matter.

veyron donkey licked a good field again at otaki on saturday and was snubbed by the trackside team. no post race interview with trainer or jockey and to make matters worse, the owner was leading the horse back and the ignorant trackside presenter said "and here is the trainer , linda laing with the winner now". they spent 10mins after king mufhasa won at melb, the trainer, jockey and owner his uncle et al. interviewed post race. yes it was a great win but he was cleaned up by veyron the week before. and not even 30 secs post race, when veyron wins a group 1 here.

i took him out to a farm at owhata to shoot ducks. it wasnt shooting season but bill was really keen and we had a great time shooting heaps of birds. my dad picked us up just after dark and the farmer was just finishing milking, so a 40oz johnny walker was produced and drank with fresh cream. when we got back home bill was a little bit pissed, and wanted to go potties. he took a wrong turn and ended up in our hot water cupboard. the water heater was up high and he walked under it and closed the door behind himself. there was no handle on the inside so he was stuck there. i dont know how long he was in there for but for some reason he wasnt missed, i think dad assumed he had headed back to where he was staying, as he had to ride next day. we had a cat named whiskey that used to sleep high up in the cupboard and he used to scratch on the door when he wanted to get out. mum was just going to bed when she heard a scratching noise and opened the cupbard to find billy sitting on the wood pile with a pair of very wet trousers. she cleaned him up and fed him and he told her of a nag he was to ride next day. said she should back it. the horse won and paid about 54 pounds, and she got 5 bobs worth of a huge double, the div for a quid was around 5000 pounds.
