ENTRY THREAD : WINTER RACING A R CRESWICK STAKES PAIRS COMP :  SATURDAY, 22 JUNE 2019
We will be taking in races from Flemington, Tauranga and Randwick    
As you post your selections I will randomly draw a number between 1 and 50 and that will be your place in the pairs listing.   An updated draw list will be posted at intervals so please don't expect your number to appear as soon as you post    Pairings will be numbers 1,2 / 3,4 / 5,6  and so on.   If we have any pair gaps at closing time (Saturday 1.30pm) I will move the highest number without a pair to match with the lowest without a pair and then the next highest to match with the next lowest and so on.
Rules for the Comp:
1.   The Pairing with the highest combined points total at the end of the day will be the Pairs Champs.  If there is a draw I will do a countback on numbers of wins for the pair, and if required numbers of seconds and numbers of thirds.  If still the same, you share the accolades!  
2.   Each member of the pair will post individually with one selection for each race.   Any points won by each will be combined as your pair total.
3.   If you select a winner you will earn 5 points, second place 3 points and third place 1 point.
4.   Races 4, 6 and 8 are bonus races.  If you win then your 5 points will be tripled.  Second and Third points remain the same ie. 3 and 1.
5.   You have two Best Bets which you can use on any races other than the Bonus Races (races 4,6,8).   If you use a BB then any points you gain from that race will be doubled.   If you use a BB on a Bonus Race it will be disregarded.
6.   You can post selections up until 1.30pm on Saturday – 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the first comp race.
7.   You can post scratching replacements up until 1.30pm.  After 1.30pm any scratchings will move to the TAB sub.   I will not accept scratching replacements posted by your partner as this could lead to issues if you prefer to let any scratchings roll on to the sub and they aren’t aware of this.
8.   There will be a set of selections posted at 12.30pm which will be used as stand in selections should someone not post and we have an odd number.
9.   Have fun

Have been unable to partake in the Autumn comps due to work commitments but have followed the results and just want to say what a fantastic job Chestnut  has done.....amazing quick updates and comments and spot on points scoring - well done Chestnut......

I completely concur with all those who have thanked Chestnut for her tireless work with the comps and thanks to Scooby and others too who have contributed along the way. Good punting people. Congrats to Ivan and Sir Castleton. Imagine being cleaned up by a harness horse in the process. We may never live it down...mind you he was a good one in his day, 

Thanks again to everyone who took part today and throughout the past few months...a huge thanks to Chestnut for the tireless work she has put in for months...hope you enjoy the freshen up Maria...the comps are so good as you run them so well. The final race of the day and it's taken out by a 3YO gelding by Reward for Effort out of Moonlight Ballet ending the day on a winning note for GARY, Cubes and d.burrow.  No-one had the second placed roughie Des Moines and lynzim, Jenlove with a BB and Trump were happy to have a beer with Clint and make some points at the same time.
Our last comp for the Autumn comes to an end and we say -

15 found the winner, a 3YO gelding by Epaulette out of Loading Zone, in the second to last race on the comp card with Pegasus 9, Archer, jayar, bazza and weasel57 all using their BBs to double their earnings.   No-one selected the second and third placings which both paid generous money on the tote.
We head into the last race of the comp, where we visit Flemington for the final time this Autumn, and ivanthegreat/Sir Castleton have a comfortable lead on the field but there is still a good tussle for second placing with varying selections and a large number of BBs in play ...
